Things to do in Cusco

Would have been a 5-star experience if I hadn't been left waiting for 20 minutes at the meeting point in -1 degree weather. Don't expect too much from the free buffet breakfast and lunch – it'll fill you up, but the food isn't great. As a solo traveler, you'll need to stick with the guide so they can take photos of you. The 25 soles entrance fee is not included.

The itinerary is well-planned, with short drives between attractions, making it easy to visit the ancient Inca sites. It's a great choice for people who enjoy scenery and history. The tour guide is knowledgeable and provides detailed explanations. The lunch arrangement is excellent. I recommend this easy day trip to anyone who likes ancient Inca culture.

I was hesitant because there were no reviews, but I really wanted to visit Vinicunca, so I applied with some doubt, but I had a great time. I suffered from altitude sickness, so I checked whether there were oxygen cans, and I was able to get quick answers via WhatsApp. And our guide! Humberto was so great that I really wanted to leave a review. He switched between English and Spanish, and his quick and clear explanations, headcount checks, and schedule checks were all professional (thumbs up x3). Breakfast and lunch are both served as buffets. Be sure to drink coca tea. The weather is so unpredictable that it was often hard to see, but we still reached the 5,036m summit. You can rent poles or ride horses back and forth (120 soles round trip) from where the ATVs can't go, and I highly recommend horseback riding if you can afford it. Because of the high altitude, you get out of breath after just 5 steps, but the horse handlers pull the horse with me on it and run (thumbs up). And it's cold! We had experience from a previous trip, so we went armed, so it was okay, but other foreigners struggled a lot with the cold. Gloves are a must. Sunglasses are also essential as you ride through snow and rain. Near the summit, many people bring out llamas wearing sunglasses so you can take pictures with them, but I don't know how much it costs. I don't think it's 10 soles... And they also sell alpaca scarves and snacks. Bring extra money in addition to the 30 soles entrance fee.

I am so happy with this tour. They know the best time to see Machu Picchu without the fog. I was the only one who speaks English on the tour, so I had my own private guide, which was so cool. Oh, just a suggestion: don't get the one with lunch. You can find a lot of good restaurants in Aguas Calientes at a cheaper price. Secondly, don't get the Vistadome. There isn't really much to see, especially during the return trip because it's going to be nighttime. Just get the regular train and no lunch.

It was a really great day! Everything was well-organized and worked out perfectly. Only at the end were we driven in a very cramped and uncomfortable van. It also didn't take us to the hotel as described, but dropped us off at a square.

Luis was our guide for our tour and he was absolutely amazing! Very knowledgeable on all the history of the sites we visited throughout the day!!! 10/10 recommend.

The Sacred Valley's Pisac ruins, Ollantaytambo ruins, and Machu Picchu are must-visit attractions to learn about Inca history and enjoy the local customs. The only fee that is not included is the 70 sole entrance ticket for the four Sacred Valley attractions, which must be paid separately. The travel agency arranged professional and enthusiastic guides for both the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu sections of the tour. The journey was so smooth and natural under the guidance of the tour guides that I can recommend it to friends and family. The only things to pay attention to are reminding the local travel agency to be on time for pick-up and drop-off, and ensuring that the self-service lunch on the first day is scheduled at the optimal time to avoid running out of food.

Moreover, the guide was attentive to our needs throughout the tour. He ensured everyone was comfortable and had the opportunity to ask questions. His friendly demeanor made the group feel at ease, fostering a sense of camaraderie among us travelers. He even took the time to help capture memorable photos, knowing how important these moments were for us. The breathtaking scenery combined with such exceptional guidance made this trip a highlight of my travels. I left Machu Picchu not only with stunning photographs but also with a deeper appreciation for the Inca culture and history. This experience reminded me of the importance of knowledgeable guides in enriching our understanding of the places we visit. I highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking an unforgettable adventure in one of the world's most iconic destinations.

I joined this tour hoping to experience it during my stay in Cusco. I was picked up around 4 AM near my hotel, and the tour ended around 3 PM. The guide provided explanations in both Spanish and English. At the site, I paid about 70 Soles each way to ride a horse or motorcycle to near the summit. I was told it would take about 1 hour and 20 minutes to walk slowly, but since I felt motion sickness from the bumpy mountain road during the drive from Cusco to the trailhead, I chose the motorcycle up. I walked back down, which I think took less than an hour. Some of the tour participants experienced altitude sickness and seemed to be struggling, and another person vomited on the way back in the car. To be honest, the 4-hour drive each way isn't on smooth roads like in Japan, so I can't pretend it was perfectly fine. The tour itself was reasonably priced and the guide was good, but you should seriously consider whether you want to go there or not.
