Things to do in Sarawak

Highly educational and enjoyable tour, recommended. Easy to moderately difficult hiking, memorable photos. Malindo from Ooo Haa Adventure Tours was a very humorous guide & speaks fluent English. He fetched us from our hotel near Waterfront at 7.30am. [Btw, he can also pick up from airport but additional charge may apply. Can leave luggages in his van.] Our tour was flexible as the group only consists of 5 people. We didn’t manage to see any Proboscis monkey but we spotted many other wild life and plants. We even had a nibbling fish experience. Buffet lunch by only canteen was just edible. This Klook deal is cheaper than elsewhere, even after we include any additional tips for an additional one-way boat ride to skip return trip of a difficult trail (MYR50 for whole boat, can share) and for the guide as we liked his service. The additional boat ride brought us to coastal walks which we otherwise won’t explore via trails, so it’s worth. At low tide, take off shoes & wade to board boat.

Unfortunately, it's fruit season in this park until the end of March or even mid-April, so the orangutans don't come to the feeding station. However, the guide, Mr. Mas Daud, suggested an alternative: another wildlife park, about an hour from Kuching. However, the animals there are in enclosures, as it's a rescue center and each animal has had a less-than-pleasant past. But I saw a lot on the circular route of about an hour. The guide was simply sensational, explained a lot, and when he knew that I was also interested in small animals, he stopped everywhere and showed me some that I, as a tourist, wouldn't have seen at all. All in all, a perfect afternoon tour, highly recommended.

We had a wonderful experience at Sarawak Cultural Village. Our tour guide, Jacky, was professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. He guided us through each of the traditional Sarawak houses, sharing fascinating insights into their history, architecture, and unique cultural heritage. His engaging explanations made the visit both enjoyable and educational. We were warmly welcomed with a traditional cultural dance, which created a wonderful first impression. The stage performances were vibrant, entertaining, and showcased the rich diversity of Sarawak’s ethnic communities with great talent and energy. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kuching - it is an experience not to be missed!

It was an amazing trip showing the nature surrounding mangrove forest and Salak river. We also visited turtles centre and had a possibilty to see those little ones creatures. Dolphins were also present and eager to show themselves. Great trip , amazing views, highly recommended :) Our guide Mr. Hanafie knew a lot about Sarawak's nature and was a very skilled professional.

very worth it but tried to book the 530 slot instead of 730... the boat sailed up and down the sarawak river in the sunset providing many photoops opportunity

We had a fantastic tour with Hans and his captain, who truly lived up to his nickname "Eagle Eye." We saw Irrawaddy dolphins, proboscis monkeys, crocodiles, and fireflies. The tour was very informative and had a good dose of humor. Our children had a lot of fun, and the food on board was delicious. The guides were very considerate of the animals, for example, frequently and promptly turning off the engine to avoid disturbing them. This was very important to us beforehand, as we want to protect nature and not overly disturb the animals with our presence. We found this to be very appropriate and can wholeheartedly recommend the tour.

Easy to redeem ticket with the sales person there, nice experience with friends to join the sunset cruise to see the Kuching view. We can eat the kek lapis, drink water and enjoy the performance while we wait for the sunset.

Really enjoyable experience to have a very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide Saini who was able to explain the sightings during the journey in the cave. Highly recommended!

Excellent tour - our guide was friendly and knowledgable and our driver had the most incredible eyesight for spotting wildlife. We saw proboscis monkeys, lots of crocodiles of varying sizes and Irrawaddy dolphins. the scenery around the river and mangroves is very picturesque too. Transfer went smoothly
