upper deck was closed due to rains but it was okay. we were notified about it onsite and they were polite about it. the view was also good considering I went during the day and it was raining. I suggest going at night.

Absolutely loved every minute of this experience. I was in awe from the moment I walked in till the moment I stepped outside. I could have honestly spent the entire day in there. Every room was different experience and worth every penny! ✨ I would also highly recommend to try the tea and gelato in the cafe inside - some of the best matcha ice cream and tea I have ever had.

Booking through Klook is incredibly convenient! You don't have to waste time waiting in line to buy tickets at the venue. Just present the QR code you received to the staff at the entrance for scanning, and you can exchange it for a ticket and go up to enjoy the view immediately. It's hassle-free, and you even get a better price than buying on-site. The views of Tokyo are beautiful and very impressive. If you're planning to visit Tokyo Skytree, I highly recommend booking in advance through Klook. It's definitely worth it and meets all expectations! The convenience of booking through Klook:

This place is absolutely amazing. the pictures are great, but don't do it justice for everything you experience inside. It really is breathtakingly spectacular. Well worth the money, well organised and a really unique experience.

1. If you go at night, the background (the observatory wall behind the person taking the photo) will reflect a lot in the glass. It's best to find a position and angle where there's minimal reflection. 2. It's definitely prettier at night. Because of this, you might even have to wait in line at spots with the Tokyo Tower in the background. Be aware that some people might inconsiderately take photos for a long time in the same spot. 3. The entrance and exit are different, and you have to walk all the way around. The closer you get to the exit, the less you can see Tokyo Tower, but it's quieter and there are places to lean and take photos, so the atmosphere is better. (However, if you like night views, the scenery around Tokyo Tower is still better.) 4. How to enter: Find the Mori Tower Gallery and take the elevator to the 3rd floor -> Buy tickets at the 3rd-floor ticket office or present your pre-purchased ticket QR code -> Follow the instructions and take the elevator to the 52nd floor in order (scan your QR code to enter).

Great experience with klook as you fo not need to register on the puroland website beforehand. Simply show your klook voucher and you are good to go. We arrived 15min prior to opening as long queues even on a Friday can start well before opening time. The queue is daunting but we managed to enter smoothly, scanned the QR code for wifi from one of the ushers inside the complex and then booked the Meet and Greet character sessions without issue. Tip, take a screencap of your character session qrcode in case your connection died like mine did! Also the toilets by Fairytaleland are quite cool!

The Tokyo National Museum was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. The collections were fascinating, and it was incredible to see so many important pieces of Japanese history and culture in one place. The museum is much larger than I expected, and I would recommend setting aside at least five hours if you want to explore everything properly. There is so much to see, and every section offers something interesting and unique. One of my favorite parts was the beautiful garden area with traditional Japanese buildings. There was also a charming traditional café where we could relax with a coffee and cake while enjoying the surroundings. Being able to look inside some of the historic buildings made the experience even more special. I would highly recommend booking tickets in advance. There was a very long queue for visitors who had not pre-booked, and having tickets ready saved us a lot of time.

Unbeatable views! The Top Deck Tour is definitely the best way to see Tokyo Tower. Klook made entry smooth and hassle-free. We were actually a bit late for our reserved time slot, but the staff were super accommodating and helped us get in without any trouble!

What to know before visiting Tokyo

Top experiences overview

Tokyo’s most-booked things to do cluster around panoramic Observation decks and Museums, with Theme parks, Cultural experiences and Tours also playing a big role. Demand rises through late winter into spring, peaking in March, then eases into summer with the softest month in July.

Activities by traveller type

Families will find Theme parks and interactive Museums especially rewarding, with plenty of kid-friendly spectacle and hands-on exhibits. Couples often favour Observation decks for skyline views and Cultural experiences for memorable, atmospheric outings. Solo travellers and small groups can get the most out of Tours and Museums, where the range of options suits independent pacing and curiosity.

What travellers from the United States book ahead

Most travellers from the United States plan about eleven days ahead on average, so a degree of planning is common — the earliest planners still lock things in around twenty days out. Booking ahead matters most in the peak month of March, when demand is notably higher; last-minute bookings are possible but riskier during that period.

Category comparison

Observation decks are the easiest way in price-wise, offering the lowest typical mid-range fares and broad appeal for quick visits and couples seeking views. Museums sit in a modest mid-range, great for culture seekers and families wanting structured experiences. Theme parks are the priciest typical option, geared toward families and groups after high-energy entertainment. Tours show the widest spread of prices and styles, ranging from budget-friendly group options to premium private experiences, so they suit a variety of traveller budgets and preferences.
