    Known for its breathtaking natural beauty, Nami Island is a small, half-moon-shaped island located in Chuncheon, South Korea. The island is filled with lush forests, scenic walking trails, and stunning gardens that attract visitors from all over the world. 

    Nami Island Day Itinerary

    07:20: Pick-up

    Pick-up for this tour starts at 7:20 a.m. at Hongik University Station Exit 4. After that, it has two other pick-up points: at Namsan Yejang Bus Parking Lot and at Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station Exit 10. Choose whichever is nearest to you, and arrive at the location 10 minutes before the departure time.

    From here, you’ll travel for an hour and 30 minutes to Nami Island!

    09:40: Gangchon Rail Park

    Your first stop for the day is at Gangchon Rail Park, a perfect destination for those looking for an outdoor adventure while enjoying South Korea's natural beauty. The park is well-known for its 8 ½ km eight-and-a-half-kilometer rail bike course, with 6 km on the rail bike and two kilometers on the train. On this course, visitors can pedal on a downhill rail bike course to enjoy the scenic view of the mountains, fields, and the beautiful river.
    Visitors can also take their time and explore the park's attractions, including the large book photo zone, café, and zip line, making it an ideal place for family and friends to spend a day out. You can also go for the VR experience section, which adds more excitement to the ride, making it more than just a typical rail bike experience!

    12:00: Nami Island

    By lunchtime, you’ll be arriving at Nami Island. As a year-round destination, each season brings a unique beauty to the area. During autumn, Ginkgo Tree Lane becomes a must-visit spot for enjoying the splendor of the vivid yellow ginkgo leaves. Nami Island in the winter lets visitors enjoy the beauty of the island's snow-covered landscapes. During spring, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, and in summer, the island is lush and green. No matter what time of year, visitors will surely be captivated by the island's picturesque scenery and tranquil atmosphere.
    You can also stroll along scenic paths lined with lush trees and take in the beauty of nature at its finest, from the Central Korean Pine Tree Lane to the Ginkgo Tree Lane and the Metasequoia Lane. The Riverside Paths offer a chance to walk along the water's edge and marvel at the stunning views of the surrounding lake and mountains. In the Gongsaengwon Garden, visitors can find a statue of the main characters from "Winter Sonata," a popular Korean drama, and a special photo zone for souvenir pictures.

    15:30: Petite France and Italian Village

    Looking for a little slice of France in South Korea? Petite France in Nami Island is the perfect spot to experience French culture without leaving the country. You can explore a memorial hall dedicated to the author of the famous French novel Le Petit Prince and galleries displaying sculptures and paintings of the Gallic rooster, the national symbol of France. And don't forget to stop by Orgel House to hear a 200-year-old music box play a sweet melody.

    If you want a serene and picturesque escape from the hustle and bustle of Seoul, then visiting the Garden of Morning Calm is a must. This stunning garden showcases Korean horticulture at its finest. It’s situated in a breathtaking location at the base of Chungryeongsan Mountain. Strolling through the park, you'll be treated to a colorful array of flowers and a lush forest of pine nut trees.
    One of the most popular and meaningful attractions is the Sunken Garden, which is shaped like the Korean Peninsula and is covered with beautiful flowers on both sides, symbolizing the desire for the unification of North and South Korea! You can also find around 5,000 kinds of plants, including 300 varieties that are native to Baekdusan Mountain, which is considered a spiritual mountain to Koreans. The garden has even served as a filming location for various productions, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers and K-drama fans.

    19:40: Return to drop-off point

    Obsessed with alpacas? Then tour Alpaca World, which you can also visit with the Nami Island trip! This fun-filled destination, surrounded by beautiful mountains and greenery, will let you interact with these adorable alpacas and explore their habitat.
    At Alpaca World, visitors can feed and pet the animals and participate in various hands-on experiences such as shearing, spinning, and weaving their wool. There's even a chance to walk them on a leash and photograph them. And if you're lucky, you might catch them in their goofy moments when they play and jump around in the fields.
