Booking guidelines
- The name, country of residence, and passport numbers entered when booking must be an exact match to the passports used when boarding
Pass eligibility
- Important: Infants and children must be included in the passenger headcount
- Up to 2 children aged 0-11 travel free of charge for every adult with an Adult Pass (not applicable for the Senior Pass)
- If more than 2 children are traveling with 1 adult, a separate Youth Pass must be purchased for each additional child
- Only non-European residents can travel with a Eurail Pass
- To be considered as a resident of a country, you have to stay in the country for more than 6 months and must provide a proof of residence or citizenship while on the train
- Proof of citizenship can be established by a passport. Proof of residence can be established by government issued residency documents, e.g. visa, residence card
- If you have resided in country A for over 6 months, but are a passport-holder of country B, you can either fill in A as your country of residence at checkout and provide your passport and proof of residence while on the train, or fill in B as your country of residence at checkout and provide your passport while on the train

Did you know that taking an overnight train can save your travel days? You will only use up one travel day, unless you change trains after midnight. Example: If you take a train that departs at 19:10 on 14 October, and is scheduled to arrive at your destination at 02:30 on 15 October, you only have to enter 14 October in your travel calendar

Save time on additional ticket purchases by purchasing a pass. However, if you want to take TGV, please remember to reserve a seat at SNCF in advance (additional reservation fee is required). It was too late for us to reserve seats when we went to France this time, and all the flights with ideal time were full, leaving only the very early or evening flights. In addition, the reservation fee ranges from 10 Euros to 30 Euros per trip😢, which is more expensive than expected. If you take TER, you don't need to reserve a seat in advance. In addition, it is recommended to buy a first-class ticket. Otherwise, if the second-class seats are full, the cost will increase even more if you want to buy a first-class seat😵💫
This ticket is very useful, much cheaper than a normal ride, and is suitable for a few days of European travel.
The pass is easy to use. However, if you take TGV in France, remember to reserve seat at SNCF in advance (have to pay reservation fee which can be quite expensive). If you take TER or other, reservation is not required.
This train pass is very useful if you plan well, because basically most of the rides are free, except for a few parts that require payment in advance, which is more troublesome, but overall they are very discounted! 👍🏻
Tickets are super valuable, easy to exchange and use, avoid queuing up to buy tickets, and avoid the trouble of long queues.
First class is really comfortable... more than you can imagine! There was even a fire alarm inside, and the bed was really comfortable. If you are traveling a long distance from the south of France to the north and feel uncomfortable in the chair, we also recommend the first class!
It's very convenient & save more for long journeys from Switzerland to Paris. No need to queue up again to buy train ticket.
If you need to take a long-distance bus, the system will work well, but you will have to reserve another seat.
The European Train Pass is very convenient to use. You can enter the gate with the QR code. The price is great and highly recommended.
