Ghibli Park 1-Day Bus Tour from Nagoya

◎ The timing was excellent; we not only explored three areas of Ghibli Park but also visited Japan's renowned Toyota Museum. The itinerary was very fulfilling. ◎ The round-trip bus saved us a lot of time we would have spent on transfers. The bus was quite comfortable, and I even fell asleep on the way back. ◎ Our tour guide was a very interesting Japanese gentleman, I believe his name was "Ushida Yasuhiro." On the way there, he patiently introduced the itinerary, counted heads, and kept the atmosphere lively. On the way back, seeing that everyone was tired, he started singing for us and even handed out song sheets (Ponyo's theme song, which Fan Xiaoxuan covered as "Doudoulong"). The trip was quite enjoyable. ◎ Ghibli Park is definitely worth a visit; it's Miyazaki's world everywhere you look. I spent a long time taking photos in the Ghibli's Grand Warehouse. At Mononoke Village, I didn't have the patience to wait in long lines, so I only spent about an hour there and rode the carousel 🎠. There were many tourists from Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, and they were all quite enthusiastic and willing to help take photos, which was very nice. ◎ Afterwards, we went to the Toyota Museum and saw many cars, souvenirs, and cultural exhibits. It was excellent.

This was my second time in Japan and I failed to secure official Studio Ghibli tickets both times, so I was really grateful to find this tour package—it honestly felt like a blessing in disguise. Our guide Mari was incredibly kind, informative, and made everything feel personal from the start. We met at the hotel where she introduced herself, gave us a park map, tickets, and even a bento box with a small gift inside. We took a comfortable bus to Ghibli Park while she shared history and context about the area and Studio Ghibli. We had about 5 hours in the park, which was the perfect amount of time to explore without feeling rushed. Afterwards we visited a pottery museum, received a lucky cat keychain and a discount coupon. Overall, everything was well organized and stress-free. I would definitely recommend this tour to any Ghibli fan visiting Japan.

Excellent excursion. Our very friendly and kind guide provided many explanations about the park, the itinerary, and food in Nagoya. She even gave us the locations of smoking areas in Ghibli Park. The park is huge, but we managed to do everything with our standard pass (the shuttle and cat buses were very helpful). The bento box to save time was good and a much-appreciated bonus, as the park's cafes and restaurants were crowded with long lines. Afterwards, we visited the Seto Gura Ceramic Museum, which was superb (perhaps a little more time would have been nice), and bought some beautiful ceramic items. On the way back, the guide gave us the lyrics and sheet music for a Totoro song, which we all sang together on the bus—it was very convivial. I 100% recommend this excursion.

Our guide, Lily, was very kind and made sure to tell us facts about the city that are related to the history of the Ghibli world. We noticed her effort to make the experience as immersive as possible. Receiving the bento box was very important, as the lines in the food areas are huge and we would have lost a lot of time there. Plus, the meal was delicious.

had such an incredible time on this tour- the guides were absolutely lovely, so friendly and knowledgeable about how to maximize our trip. Ghibli Park was UNREAL- so many beautiful exhibits for fans of the films to see and it was a good amount of time. the bento box provided for lunch was delicious and we went to the pottery museum in the afternoon, which was full of beautiful ceramics and opportunities to buy more souvenirs. would highly recommend!

This was a great way to get to see ghibli park and the toyota museum was a good bonus. Highly appreciate that bento boxes were provided for already so as to avoid the long lines for food stalls in the park. Vegetarian bento box was very tasty. 5 hours in the park was just enough for the standard pass. Just a bit sad that it was raining. Shout out to Akiko iur guide for being lively and trying to tie up the toyota museum experience to ghibli park.

I absolutely loved the tour ❤️, they were so kind to us. We ventured all the way from Chile specifically to visit Studio Ghibli. We didn't have the option to buy tickets directly, and they were definitely the best choice. We traveled with our 1-year-old baby, and it was beautiful. The park is huge; you can spend 5 hours there with the tour. The bento box they gave us at the beginning was a lifesaver and relieved us from having to look for a place to eat lunch. Afterward, we went further into Nagoya and visited the ceramics museum. The experience and their attentiveness were evident at every moment; highly recommended! ♡♡

The time allotted at Ghibli Park was more than enough to explore the whole area, even with some lines, and still enjoy a proper meal. The meet-up point was easy to find, and the lunch bento was already prepared and handed out before boarding the bus, which was very convenient. Quick heads-up: there are no trash bins inside the park, so you’ll need to bring your trash with you until you’re back at Nagoya Station (bins for bottles and cans are available). On the tour day, what we visited after the park was Toyota Automobile Museum, where the guide shared car inspirations from Ghibli movies, making it fun to spot them. The time there was under an hour, so it felt a bit rushed. But it's still good overall!

This was a awesome and convenient way to get to the Ghibli Park. The bus 🚌 stop is right across from the station and the tour guide was very friendly and helpful. The Bentos tasted great and we got to learn. Abit about Nagoya from her presentation. Just a note about the park is there aren't enough seats on busy days and lines for experiences,rides and photo spots can be long. I was surprised how much every thing cost despite having the standard pass. Make sure you know exactly what you want to see so you can head their first to the to tickets. It would be great if the bus came a little more often and had a seating area while your waiting. The park requires a lot of walking so make sure you are comfortable with walking most of the day. One other issue we had was not being allowed to take photos inside of Kikis house when it's just a recreation from the anime felt werid. Even the exhibition area had engaging items for you to touch and use but you couldn't take an photo.

All I can say is the normal activity experience was amazing!!! The Japanese bento box was delicious, and the tour guides explained that the bento box garbage cannot be thrown away, but can be left on the bus to eat later or taken back to dispose of, so although it's a bit of a hassle, it's still very good! The tour guides also diligently introduced Ghibli Park, Nagoya, and the pottery museum in English. If anyone really wants to stay longer at Ghibli Park, they can sign a document in advance, and you are not forced to stay with the group. You can enter and explore Totoro's Forest for 400 yen! Entering some internal facilities requires purchasing additional tickets (when we went in the afternoon, you could still buy tickets for everything except Howl's Moving Castle). After buying the tickets, you can queue up to enter. If you really want to go to Ghibli Park at the last minute, but the tickets are already sold out, this is a good option (although the price is really not cheap...)
