What to expect
Try out this hands-on experience of being able to catch your own seafood meal in this fishing trip at Naha City, Okinawa! The seas of Okinawa are actually highly recognized for being a fishing haven for fishermen in the area - it's pretty impossible that you won't be able to catch some yourself due to the abundance of fish and other sea creatures living in the ocean. The experience is also very beginner and tourist-friendly, since the boat you'll be on is equipped with a device that will allow smooth sailing and less shaking. It also has a bathroom so you can do your business whenever you feel like it! Opt to choose from the morning or afternoon session, where both will be followed by a hearty meal (lunch for the morning session and dinner for the afternoon session) at a restaurant which will use the fish you've caught yourself! The best knowledge while dining is actually knowing where your food came from (plus the fact that you were the one who caught it!). Apart from your fishing trip and meal, you'll also get to travel hassle-free through convenient hotel transfers.

Reviews
boat ride out to sea was about 45 mins. No English in instructions to set up fishing line. Just hand gestures but it was sufficient to understand. if you are not keeping the fishes caught, don’t need to buy the ice box that’s ¥1,500.
The boat owner was very kind. Even though we couldn't communicate verbally, he put a lot of effort into teaching us. It was no problem for beginners, and we even caught five fish! We had a great time and would love to participate again if we get the chance.
The three of us caught nearly 20 fish, and we couldn't even finish them all. The captain wasn't as fierce as some reviews suggested; it seemed more like a language barrier. He immediately helped replace broken lines and damaged equipment. At the end, he smiled, waved, and said goodbye. The only slight drawback was the nearby restaurant he recommended, where we waited an hour for our food, but processing fish is inherently time-consuming, so it's understandable.
The experience was great! There were no issues with bad attitudes; the boat captain was very patient and easy to communicate with. After fishing, we found a nearby restaurant and paid the owner 2000 to prepare five of our fish into several dishes, which were absolutely delicious!
Location: It's very convenient if you drive yourself, not far from Naha city, and there's plenty of free parking at the pier. Facilities: They're okay. I didn't catch any fish, but my friend caught a small one. Other people on the boat, working in pairs, probably caught about 3 fish. Their fishing method seemed difficult for catching fish; the hooks didn't have bait. Instead, they used a small plastic cage with krill inside to attract fish to hit the hook. I'm not very experienced, and this was my first time fishing like this, so maybe I was just unlucky not to catch anything. We didn't even have everyone ready to depart by 8 AM. It took half an hour to get out to sea, and we finished a little after 11 AM, then they took us back to shore. Safety: It's okay. Just follow the boat owner's instructions, and you'll be fine. Safety measures are in place. Experience: Overall, it was okay. It cost HKD$800 for two people. Even though I didn't catch any fish, I treated it as a boat trip and an experience.
Before departure, you have to buy a refrigerator for 1,300 yen at your own expense. You can use the restroom at the meeting point. The six of us almost chartered the boat and there was another passenger. The captain should have sailed to a place with a lot of fish and caught fish in less than a minute or two! We caught about 30 fish in total. Although we communicated in Japanese throughout the whole process, it was not a problem. If you are worried about seasickness, it is recommended to take seasickness pills first. There were strong waves on the way. I vomited once after we stopped the boat, but my companions were fine. Take the fish back to the gathering point. The person in charge has clear instructions. You can process the caught fish at a nearby restaurant. The restaurant has a basic cooking set menu, including deep-fried, boiled in sauce, and sashimi. The overall experience was very fun and memorable!
You need to purchase an additional refrigerator, and the catch can be processed at a restaurant that the store knows well. The boatman was not as aggressive as he said, and he didn't speak English, but he could communicate through gestures. There is a surveillance radar on the boat, and it took three fishing spots to catch the fish. The overall event is well worth participating in
The captain is very polite and kind. He will teach you basic fishing skills during the fishing process and will help you first to hook the fish. The overall process is enjoyable. After returning to port, the manager of the valet restaurant introduced by the captain will entertain you very kindly (the cooking fee is 1,800 yen per person). It is very worth going (save the time of killing fish and cooking it yourself). The food is also very good.
It’s fun, but don’t go to the valet restaurant recommended by the boss, unless you have deep pockets and love Taiwanese food.
It's a good experience. The captain will teach you how to use fishing gear for fishing. You will return to the port after fishing for about 2-2.5 hours. You can ask a nearby restaurant to process the fish you catch (Umi no Kei)
