Reviews
Everything was so fun from start to finish. We were so overwhelmed with all the yukata/kimono options and the hairstylists were so fast and experienced they can deal with all hair types and the tea ceremony was phenomenal :) I totally recommend this experience for first commers to Japan.
The kimono rental was amazing! Theyre so good at putting the kimono on us and fixing our hairs. The kimono was surprisingly more comfortable than I imagined. The tea ceremony is not the traditional one but you’d get to casually learn on how it is done. Everyone is super friendly and helpful! Oh and our timing was perfect because of the Asakusa festival!
I got to play dress up!!! with the kimono, shoe, accessories, and hair, I felt like a beautiful geisha artist walking around! I love this experience. plus we did a matcha green tea ceremony and couldn't be more pleased. wonderful! wonderful!
The girls were really very kind and welcoming, and the ceremony was short but intense. The lady officiating the ceremony was super nice and made us feel comfortable. You can take photos and videos. I would highly recommend it!
The tea ceremony was so calm and relaxing, and it was a joy getting to prepare a cup under the guidance of my tea master. The kimono was also high quality. I'd highly recommend this experience to anyone interested.
It was a nice experience and worth trying. It wasn't connected with the Kimono rental shop so you had to walk to the tea room down the street and across. The education of the tea and the experience making and tasting it was great. I enjoyed it very much.
excellent service, the ceremony and information provided during was outstanding. the kimonos was also excellent, the available ones all of them really pretty and with all the help to wear it properly.
This experience went beyond my expectations. The kimonos were stunning and the tea ceremony allowed us to really appreciate some Japanese culture. The whole family enjoyed themselves. The highlight was walking through the nearby temple dressed up. Location of this activity is excellent the staff kind and attentive.
Halomi and Jennie were great! great selector Yukata’s. Very short walk to the Sensi-ki Shrine. Definitely made us want to learn even more about matcha and how we could incorporate this with our friends.
LOVE this experience! They were very friendly and the tea ceremony was actually very solemn… only caveat is that the guy was hurrying up the hair stylist when she was helping me get dressed with the kimono (which was a lot of layers lol) — for context, I speak Japanese that’s why I understood… TIP: upgrade to the modern/lace kimono categories. The free ones look a bit tacky and the traditional kimono upgrades could get expensive (~12k Yen). However the price difference you need to pay to upgrade for the Lace/Modern kimono categories is only around 2-4k Yen. Bring your own tripod too as I forgot mine and they had to bring in a chair so I could film LOL overall 5/5!! Will go again - probably in Autumn when it’s less cold as you could wear the kimono around Asakusa (Senso-ji Temple) … I didn’t do that cuz it was too cold for me lol but I saw some ppl who still walked around in their rented kimonos.
