What to expect
The tour begins by passing the Saigon river tunnel. Visit a local temple, and the tour guide tells you about the local culture of worshiping different kinds of gods; belief in the circle of life, especially the god of the water, the river as well as the mystery river ghost. Next, head to District 4 – the old gangster area to discover Saigon deeply and enjoy a bowl of Beef Noodles Soup to get energy for the long journey.
After that, we take a long drive and explore the Funeral house where we will have a walk inside to witness some funeral ceremonies. Our tour guides tell you the customs of a funeral as well as ghost stories there. Next, let us take you to the biggest Chinatown and stop at the Ghost Building which is an abandoned building in Chinatown because of their Fung Shui. Then we have a break and enjoy local drinks (Coffee, Juice, or Smoothy) at a local coffee shop as locals do.
Last but not least, we continue visiting the Thich Quang Đức monument which is the monk burned himself to protest the persecution of Buddhists in 1963.

Overview: What an experience! A great tour to get you into the streets and some exposure to the real spiritual side of Vietnamese people. Great tour guide who has great picks for food too. There are parts of this tour that you would probably not date to experience except with the guide. This would probably not be for you if you're looking for a ghost hunting kind of trip, but plenty of spooky ghost stories along the way. So far, one of my favorite night/ghost/city tours. Duration: 3 hrs Crowd size: personal tour on a scooter. 1 driver per attendee. Price: as listed but with a holiday premium (2 days before Tet, which was reasonable considering how many holiday closures already started)
This is my second time for this haunted Saigon Tour. Last time I was solo, but this time it was a group as I wanted my friends to enjoy it. It’s still worth it for me as there was a new stop that wasn’t there the first time I did it. It’s a great way to learn about Vietnamese culture, religion, and folklore. The main guide (Vincent) and his team were nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. The food part of the tour was also delicious. Recommended.
Truly a magnificent night tour! I booked this tour to not see ghosts, but to learn the intricate process and preparation for the afterlife through Vietnam’s history, religion and culture. All explained very well by Vincent and one more tour guide (im so sorry I forget the spelling if his name). Vincent is an excellent guide, through his knowledge and humour which really brings up the life of the tour. Although, some areas of the tour gave me goosebumps and chills, we ended the tour with a lighthearted food stops. Dinner was uhmazing! as well as the desserts. My tour guides went beyond my expectations and I highly recommend them both!
I’ve always been fascinated with ghost stories, horror, and the like. As such, when I saw this tour offered via Klook, it was a no-brainer for me to book it. I also chose the option with food - leading me to discover new Vietnamese dishes. I had a great tour guide who told a lot of stories for each place we went to - and then more. I would do this again.
Richard and Hieu were excellent guides. They communicated in very good English and they were friendly and welcoming so we cliqued at first instance. Not only did they do their job well by showing us what's in the itinerary, they also went above and beyond by sharing personal anecdotes of their lives and perspectives which were very welcoming to us who do not live in Viet Nam. Questions asked were responded well and satisfactorily. They knew their stuff very well. They also detoured a little bit to bring us to takeaway some durians (our major love since we are South East Asians) and in turn, we shared the durians with them as they're fans of the King of Fruits too. I did not regret choosing this trip as it was on a very personal (your guide is your driver and you are his only client) and I got to sightsee to places I would not have otherwise gone on my own, on Viet Nam's national transportation - the motor bike. I love the places they brought us on the itinerary but a minor area of improvement would be to cater more to the spiritual / haunting portion as the name of this tour suggests. Otherwise this tour is a ten out of ten. 100% thanks Richard and Hieu.
I had an amazing experience on the Haunted Saigon Tour by Bike with Marjorie! It was one of the highlights of my trip to Ho Chi Minh City. Marjorie was an excellent guide—friendly, engaging, and a great storyteller. She made every stop come alive with fascinating background stories, and I was captivated from start to finish. The tour was both fun and informative, with just the right mix of history, mystery, and local culture. If you're looking for something beyond the usual tourist attractions, I highly recommend this tour. It's a unique way to experience a different side of Saigon, and it's especially perfect for solo travellers. The hospitality throughout the tour was outstanding, and I felt welcomed and well taken care of. This is definitely a must-do experience when visiting Ho Chi Minh City!
It was a great opportunity to truly understand Vietnamese culture. The guide was fun, the information was interesting, and the motorbike ride was so exciting! The food recommendations were also delicious. They made my first day in Ho Chi Minh so enjoyable
My guide Vincent was the best. I actually had him for two of the motorbike tours that i booked while staying in HCM. His knowledge on everything (from food, culture, religion) was just amazing. I actually learned alot from him. I would definitely love to join more tours with him in the future.
The tour was educational and adventurous(especially when you are on a bike in HCM traffic). Peter was a great guid with lots of religious knowledge and great taste in food! Don’t miss this fun tour when you are in town.Highly recommend.
This tour was much fun, informative, and immersive. We roamed around Saigon's districts, and visited go-to-places for food and leisure like a local. Plus, we learned about the Vietnamese practices, tales and stories that stand the test of time. The guides were also hospitable, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and funny. We had insightful and memorable conversations about the history and current state of the city and its people. We'd just like to remind future travelers to please respect the guides and the Vietnamese culture - even if you don't believe the customs and traditions which are being shared.
