MIKADO - Landscape Izakaya in Tokyo, Shinjuku

Enjoyed this omakase yakitori dinner with different parts of the whole chicken served. First time trying a lot of cuts, but must say I really enjoyed it. Every course is served individually and fresh from the chef grilling behind the counter.

The clerk is very polite, the appetizer & the first roast chicken are super delicious, I highly recommend Oyakodon!!!

The yakitori experience was average and not worth the price. Most of the skewers consisted of inexpensive chicken parts such as gizzard and liver, which may not appeal to everyone. If you dislike these parts or have allergies, it’s crucial to inform the staff beforehand. However, the collagen soup stood out as a highlight, offering a rich and comforting flavour, and the final course of chicken omelette don was enjoyable and well-executed. The service was satisfactory, but the overall value still did not justify the cost.

The service and dishes were excellent. We ordered lanterns as a final dish. They were delicious.

Although it is the chef who decides what you eat, at this price, it is really disappointing to tell you that the lanterns are sold out and there are no grilled matsutake mushrooms in season.
