Review for: Tales of Fishing Villages Tour

A very special itinerary experience. There is no single tour guide in the whole journey. After the Aberdeen section, you need to go to Quan Kee Ferry to take a boat to Lamma Island. When you get to the island, you need to go to Tianhong Restaurant to tell the staff your name, and then the restaurant staff will tell you. After you have eaten, you will need to go to the itinerary and the final boat flight time from Lamma back to Central (and the boat ticket), and go to the souvenir sales office on the island to pick up the boat ticket to the Fishermen’s Cultural Village and contact the boat. Then you need to go to the pier by yourself I recognize the small ferry that goes to the Cultural Village. It takes about 3 minutes to get to the Cultural Village. The small detail is that the itinerary supplier (Aberdeen section) contacted us in advance to change the meeting time and change the location. The explanation was very clear. It seems that I haven’t seen the so-called 3D giant painting Tianhong Restaurant. It is very good. The dishes and portions provided are satisfactory. The seafood is very fresh. The only drawback is that the cold drinks do not match well (attached is a photo of the lobster I put on the plate) Culture In the village, you can experience fishing, old fishing boats, and see many cute cats. On the way back, you can take the Tianhong Restaurant’s passenger boat, which is perfect for enjoying the sunset (chartered with two friends). It’s a very flexible and relaxing tour itinerary, like an RPG adventure.

Review for: Tales of Fishing Villages Tour

It was a good experience. It took about 40 minutes to circle around the Aberdeen Pier and visit the Maritime Museum (resident ship). It took about 35-40 minutes to buy a ferry ticket and take the ferry to Lamma Island one way. The dishes at Tianhong Restaurant on the island were good and the portions were just right. , if you don’t go hiking, there is not much place to go around. The fishing village experience was not open that day, so we went to the island after 1 o’clock, had lunch, walked around, and then took the 2:20 shuttle boat from the restaurant to the Central Pier.

Unique nature and fish village experience with impressive seafood included in this tour! However, the location of the tour lies in the southern corner of Hong Kong which is extremely far away from the city centre & the tour is mostly self-guided, lacking coordination b/w various siteseeing locations. Very similar scenes can be seen in Malaysia & Thailand.

Review for: Hong Kong Aberdeen Half-Day Cultural Cruise

The itinerary was perfectly packed! The spots we visited on the land tour all had such a rich historical vibe, and I really felt the strong cultural beliefs of the fishermen. We also got to see lots of the tools they used in their daily lives back in the day.

Review for: Hong Kong Aberdeen Half-Day Cultural Cruise

The activity experience was great, and the time arrangement was very reasonable, not rushed at all. The audio guide on the sightseeing boat was detailed and interesting, allowing you to hear many behind-the-scenes stories about the places. The seafood lunch dishes were fresh and tasted great. Finally, strolling through the Lamma Island Fisherfolk's Village gave me an in-depth understanding of the culture of Hong Kong's original fishermen and the development of the fishing industry, which was really good.

Review for: Hong Kong Aberdeen Half-Day Cultural Cruise

This trip to Aberdeen and Lamma Island's twin fishing villages was an amazing experience! The land and sea tour format is innovative and allows for an in-depth understanding of the fishermen's culture and customs. Touring the fishing harbor on a sightseeing boat while listening to the audio guide gave me a new perspective on Hong Kong's development and the changes in the lives of fishermen. The seafood lunch was also delicious, highly recommended!
