- Clothing suggestions for autumn and winter yacht tour: Layered clothing: Wear light thermal base layers with a warm mid-layer (such as fleece or wool) to adjust to changing temperatures. Waterproof and windproof outerwear: A good quality waterproof jacket or coat with windproof features to protect against sea spray and wind chill. Long pants: Comfortable, warm trousers or waterproof pants to protect legs from cold and spray. Non-slip shoes: Closed-toe, waterproof, and non-slip footwear such as boat shoes or sturdy sneakers for safety on deck. Hat and gloves: A warm hat/beanie and gloves to keep extremities warm against chilly sea breeze. Sunglasses: To protect eyes from glare reflecting off the water. Scarf or neck gaiter: For additional wind protection. Dressing in layers allows flexibility to remove or add clothing as the weather changes during the tour. Avoid cotton as it retains moisture; opt for quick-dry and insulating materials to stay warm and dry. We understand that the cool weather may feel different to each participant. Therefore, we recommend checking the Hong Kong Observatory for the latest temperature forecast and dressing appropriately for the conditions.
