Hands-on Discovery of Vietnamese Coffee & Culture

At the coffee workshop, Joey, a Vietnamese coffee enthusiast, gave us a detailed explanation of the varieties, processing techniques, traditions, and culture of Vietnamese coffee. She even guided us in making several Vietnamese coffees ourselves. The French brought coffee beans to Vietnam, and due to its unique geographical and climatic conditions, Vietnam is particularly suitable for growing Robusta coffee beans. Coffee culture is deeply ingrained in Vietnamese life. From selecting and drying the beans to brewing, I blended several coffees with two handsome Argentinian guys. [laughing][laughing][laughing]

This was the highlight experience of my trip to Ho Chi Minh!, I am a coffee lover and i would do this experience again when i come back!. The gorgeous guide of the experience, Siu, was incredible, her introduction to Viet coffee and how to properly craft it and the history behind it was 2nd to none. I can definitely say this is a must do when visiting Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh and experiencing beautiful coffee sourced from local and organic farmers and familys!

The coffee workshop in Sai Gon is an absolute gem and truly one for the books. I was completely captivated by Vietnam’s rich and vibrant coffee culture. This experience went far beyond a simple tasting, it was immersive, engaging, and heartfelt from start to finish. The presentation was top notch. You won’t just watch inspiring videos; you’ll live the story. I got to roast, brew, and savor coffee with my own hands, and every step was filled with joy and learning. A special shoutout to An, our incredible coffee guide. His command of English, deep knowledge, and visible passion for Vietnamese coffee made the experience even more unforgettable. He wasn’t just teaching; he was sharing a piece of his heart. What touched me most was his sincerity. He genuinely cared, constantly checking if I had questions, making sure I soaked in not just the flavors but the roots and soul of Vietnamese coffee. Got obsessed with Vietnamese coffee and decided to enroll in a coffee class while im in Vietnam. Based on the Klook description, I had an idea of what to expect, but the experience exceeded my expectations! I loved how hands-on the class was, and the instructors were pros. The class was fun, and it gave me a deeper appreciation for Vietnamese coffee culture. Trúc and Joey, my instructors, were amazing! They truly know their craft and were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Definitely a five-star experience at LeCaph and its fantastic instructors!

This is one of the highlights of our Ho Chi Minh trip. Perfect for those like us who are interested in the coffee culture and history in Vietnam. We learned a lot of things about coffee in Vietnam and we also got to try making coffee using Phin filter and V60. The class was really interesting and fun and our instructor, Ngoc, was so kind and accomodating. She is a good instructor as she explained all the things to us clearly. I can say that every little detail (from the presentation slides, to the videos, to the tasks) in this activity is well thought of and well made. There is even a nice little surprise at the end (I will not spoil it so you can see for yourself). Now that I am back home, I make coffee using the Phin filter and the ground coffee we bought from their shop. I’m so glad we booked this activity. Highly highly recommend this to everyone visiting Ho Chi Minh!

Vin is very friendly. He loves coffee and it shows when he was explaining to us. The program is very well crafted. It highlights coffee as rooted in the culture of Vietnam. It will be good to have actual farm tours and local cafe tours. But this crash course is good if you only have just 2 hours to spare.

A fantastic experience! I came during the off-season, and I was the only person there today, but the barista, AN, was still very patient and gave a thorough explanation. I gained a deeper understanding of Vietnamese coffee history. All the desserts that came with the coffee were delicious, and the coffees were all unique. Highly recommended.

One of the best experiences here in Vietnam. If you drink and breathe coffee, this one is for you. The staff were amazing especially Mike who was enthusiastic and very helpful from the start up until me getting over caffeinated (in a good way). Edit: Took another class, this time, egg coffee experience, thanks to Hiu, the class was very enjoyable and gained a lot more.

Had a great time in this coffee class. Sierra shared a lot of insightful knoweldge about Vietnam’s coffee culture, coffee roasting, and different brewing methods. The thank you gift that they give out at the end of the class is also something one would greatly appreciate.

This workshop was really well put together — it took me on a journey from the coffee farm all the way to the cup in front of me. It gave a nice glimpse into Vietnamese coffee culture, its roots, and how it’s evolved over time. I learned a lot about coffee beyond the usual Western styles and got to appreciate how special Vietnamese coffee really is. Julia was super friendly and clearly knew her stuff. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to experience authentic Vietnamese coffee culture and enjoy a great cup of coffee. Even my sister, who normally doesn’t drink coffee, loved their lemonade coffee — it was surprisingly refreshing!
