What to expect
Hakone's oldest art museum where you can enjoy the seasonal scenery.
Japanese pottery from the Jomon period to the Kamakura and Muromachi periods, as well as pots and jars from the Six Old Kilns and the Edo period are on display.
From Shinwatei, enjoy sweets and powdered green tea with a view of the moss garden (may be closed or reserved on an irregular basis).
The moss garden is planted with approximately 130 types of moss and 220 maple trees, offering beautiful seasonal views.
