Reviews summaryOur guide was Paul, super friendly and charismatic, and he made the tour enjoyable. We first went to the viewpoints, and even though we couldn't take photos, our guide shared his with us. Then we went to the tunnel, and I warn you that tall people will have a hard time bending down, and generally, what goes down must come up, so it's tiring. They even recommend not wearing a jacket because you'll eventually feel hot. The downside again is that you can't record. Afterward, they take you to a restaurant for lunch, but I chose to bring my own food and sat in the park; there's also a restroom nearby. Finally, we went to the bridge, which was really cool, but be prepared for a strenuous climb up the mountain.
This is my 3rd time in Seoul but first time that I was able to do DMZ. We were told the day before the trip that we had to reschedule to meet at 5am on May 3rd because DMZ has a limited that day and it was the golden week. We were tires when finding out it was rainy day. But we were met by a lovely sweet guide Heather, who was encouraging and nice. The rain stopped when we finished Imjingak Park at 9am and it turned out to be one of the best highlights this trip. The tunnel, the red suspension bridge in the mountain, the Dora obsertory where you see North Korea. What a trip
A great tour! Paul was such a great guide - charming, conversational, funny. #sexypaul!! Went on a cloudy day but they worked around it to make sure we went to the Dora observatory at the clearest time. Full tour took around 10 hours (7am to 5pm) good value for money!!
This tour was excellent. I had second thoughts about booking this since I don't like topics related to the military and politics, but it was really excellent. Jin, our tour guide, was excellent. She handled the group very well. It was organized and on time. I learned so much about North Korea. It was really interesting.
Today's day trip was truly amazing and interesting. Charles, our tour guide, made learning about the history and culture of the area easy and enjoyable. His passion for his country and its people was evident throughout the tour, and I appreciate the wonderful experience he provided.
Julie was truly an amazing guide, any friends who visit Korea I will specifically recommend her. high energy, funny, positive, engaging, and most of all human - told a bit of her personal story too. the tour was well worth it and we are very glad we spent a day of our trip on this tour!
I joined this tour as a solo traveller with the guide Na Hee. She did a great job by herself with staying organized, giving us information and managing the large group. She also adapted to the weather and adjusted the sequence of the stops so that we could get the best experience possible. The meeting point was quite easy to find, and the tour was organized well, even with the large group size. It was interesting to get insight into the DMZ and North Korea and my favourite part was the observatory where you can see into North Korea. Something to note is that most of the stops have a lot of photo/video restrictions due to it being a sensitive area. Overall a really fun experience and something very unique to do if you are in Seoul!
This trip is definitely worth it when visiting seoul. Our PLK guide Dennis was super fun and informative the whole day. The bridge was absolutely gorgeous and the following areas related to the DMZ were so interesting. Dennis tailored our day to the minute and made the experience easy to follow and understand. If you’re a solo traveller don’t worry! It’s super solo friendly plus you’ll likely end up chatting to others on the trip. 10/10 would recommend!
We had a great experience on our DMZ tour today! From Gamaksan Suspension Bridge to the 3rd Infiltration Tunnel and Dora Observatory, every stop was interesting and memorable. Learning more about Korean history while visiting these places made the trip even more meaningful. Special thanks to our tour guide Charles for being friendly, organized, and informative throughout the whole day. He explained everything clearly, kept the tour running smoothly, and made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the experience. The tour never felt rushed, and we really appreciated his positive energy and helpfulness. Definitely one of the most unforgettable tours we had in Korea. Highly recommended!
During my one month holiday in South Korea, this is my 7th and last tour group. I've been to Busan, Jeju Island and Seoul. I can honestly say that the DMZ tour with Julie is the best of them all. It's historical, educational and at times can be very emotional. Her fluent English makes it easier for the group to understand her. She's witty and funny. Never a dull moment. She's more than a knowledgeable tour guide. She's a friend. Highly recommended! Will definitely book again with her.
