The SUMO Show in Tokyo

Attended with my 14yo son. This was one of the best activities we did in Tokyo. The lunch was delicious! The show provided a great insight into Sumo and their training. Michi was a great host and the Sumos, Kuma and Jumbo, were very entertaining. At the end the audience had an opportunity to get involved and wrestle the Sumo. They also had time for a Q&A session and pose for photos. Great fun and highly recommend!

The hostess and sumo wrestlers were engaging and super nice. I put on the costume and had a chance to wrestle a sumo! Such a great experience and the lunch was YUMMY!!!! I’m going to try to make the Chanko Nabe when I get home.

It was an amazing and exciting experience to see profesional sumo wrestlers up close and personal. We were very lucky to witness a show that explained how sumo wresters started their careers until their retirement.

Very fun, we learned about the technique and rules of sumo, the type of training they undergo, and also, the food they offer at the show was very good.

This was an amazing experience and my family had an amazing time. We learned a great deal about how Sumo wrestlers train, live, and eat. The lunch was very oishi as well. All thanks to the expert hands of the Makushita Sumo wrestler who prepared our meals. It was so fun to watch the audience participation. Young kids, women, and men stepped up to challenge the wrestler of their choice. You will definitely enjoy this activity so please do not hesitate to check it out.

The Pork Tonkatsu was very tasty. watching Sumo while eating was a great experience. the Sumos themselves were very friendly and interactive. you can both ask them questions and take photos with them

This experience is a lot of fun. The team provide a great overview of the history of sumo, explain the training and then the two sumo do demonstrations with lots of humour included throughout. My kids loved it, and were laughing the whole time while learning about sumo. We then had an opportunity to fight the sumo which was great fun, even the kids could do it. The sumo then answered any questions we had and we could have photos with them. I would say that for a family with upper primary school aged children, this was such a great way for them to learn about sumo in a way that was fun and humourous. The food provided was really delicious.

Amazing experience that can’t be missed! It was a very well thought out experience with an amazing lunch, English interpreter, Sumo demonstration from two retried Sumo’s and an opportunity to give it a go ourselves.

The sumo wrestling experience in Tokyo was unforgettable! Getting to step into the ring and learn moves from real sumo wrestlers was so much fun and surprisingly challenging. The wrestlers were friendly and made the whole experience entertaining. The meal afterward was delicious, with authentic Japanese flavors that perfectly complemented the activity. A unique and must-try experience for anyone visiting Tokyo!
