Reviews
Wildlife Friends Foundation cares for more than 800 animals. It has a specialized wildlife hospital in Thailand, an elephant sanctuary, and a tiger rescue center. The WFFT actively fights against illegal wildlife trade. Guests are divided into three groups, each with a guide. In the first stage (early, before lunch), after a short drive, you walk through the grounds, observe animals, and receive detailed information from the guide about various species of monkeys, bears, etc. that have been rescued. In the second stage, elephants, tigers, otters, etc. are visited. Finally, there is elephant feeding. It is a wonderful feeling to know that the animals are being helped and that they have a dignified life.
this was an incredible experience and one I would book again with zero hesitation. it was amazing to see the hard work that WFFT is doing to rescue and care for some of Asia’s most vulnerable species. Some of these animals have had incredibly challenging lives, and hearing about the work WFFT do to try and rehabilitate these creatures was very, very moving. I’d also like to commend WFFT on the delicious lunch, excellent guide, and safe and swift pickup/drop-off service.
Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand Pros • Very educational and informative • Clear focus on animal welfare and ethical tourism • Staff are kind, knowledgeable, and passionate • Easy experience for the whole family (went with our two teens, 6 year old child, and 4 month old baby) 👱♂️👱♀️👦👶 • Transport to and from accommodation included • Delicious lunch provided 🤤 • Saw a wide variety of rescued animals • Felt good knowing we were supporting a genuine animal rescue • Feeding the elephants was a special highlight 🐘 Cons • A bit pricey for what you get (though it supports a good cause) • Buses were quite hot when stopped • Not enough time spent with the tigers and elephants • Felt like most of the tour focused on monkeys and gibbons Overall 👇 A truly meaningful and feel-good experience. Despite a few small downsides, we’re really glad we went and would recommend it to anyone wanting to support ethical animal tourism in Thailand.
It was an Interesting and very informative tour. The guide told us a lot about the foundation, origin, what their goal was with the animals. It is not a zoo or a park, it is a sanctuary for the animals. We got to feed the elephants which was fun. Remember to bring mosquito repellant and plenty of water as you do get to walk around the woodlands areas and it gets very hot and humid. We had a good time and would recommend.
It was really very interesting and touching! Our guide was super informative and could explain a lot. Very nice enclosures and a lot to see, and above all, animal-friendly and close to nature. We can only recommend it! One thing was not so optimal, but okay: the group was a bit too large with 25 people. You often had to ask or sometimes didn't catch things.
There is not much information in Chinese about this place, but fortunately I signed up for this tour and was able to understand the operation of this animal protection center. I also learned that there are many illegal animal breeding in Thailand, and how they work hard to rescue injured and illegally bred animals in the wild, including many bears, tigers, leopards, bobcats, deer, monkeys, and otters. They all receive good care and a suitable environment, and the animals that can be released into the wild are also actively trained to survive in the wild. The last introduction is in English, but the guide is quite easy to understand. I recommend it.
A very good experience, recommended to everyone who travels to Hua Hin. Stop doing stupid things like riding an elephant or taking photos with a tiger.
Amazing work by the Rescue Centre to save these beautiful wild animals that were abused and neglected ♥️. Highly recommended if you visit Hua Hin 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
An exceptional place to visit. Very informative. Animals are well cared for. From our pick up to drop off the staff were attentive and polite. we had no problems whatsoever. Be aware that a lot of the time when walking which is not to exhaustive that you are in the sun. Probably not the most child friendly activity depending on their ages.
I highly recommend visiting the Wildlife friends foundation when you visit Thailand. It is a rescue center and is only a 3hr drive from Bangkok. It was in fact the highlight of my trip when I visited the country last August. The tour was a close encounter with the rescued animals. You also get to help and do volunteer work by feeding the elephants. I mean… look at those elephants in the photo. :) Thank you very much, Klook!
