Arrive early to beat the crowds. Cable ride is stunning. We were lucky and had cab to ourselves for return trip. The village at top is very commercial and Disney like. The steps to top of Buddha gives spectacular views. Recommend to take bus to Tai O and boat ride. We were fortunate and saw a pink dolphin. Rather than take MTR back to city we opted for 3M bus to Mui Wo and then ferry back to Central to complete round trip. An enjoyable day out.
The scenery is beautiful, and the staff's attitude is top-notch. Although there was a bit of a wait, the entire route to Aao Fishing Village was stunning. Plus, we saw dolphins, making it totally worth it.
A very worthwhile place to visit. The cable car offers views of Hong Kong Airport and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge. Buying a package ticket in advance is very convenient, and it also comes with food coupons. It's great to take a leisurely stroll through Tai O Fishing Village and enjoy the local snacks. Highly recommended.
Take the Ngong Ping 360 Crystal Cable Car from near Tung Chung MTR Station, then take a bus to Tai O, take a sightseeing boat in Tai O, eat fish balls, walk around, and then return to Ngong Ping to walk to the Big Buddha statue for a visit. It's a great experience.
It's very convenient to use and the locations are easy to find! The Tai O boat trip is definitely worth it - the stilt houses are very unique! You can also go out to sea and see the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge. And we were lucky enough to see dolphins! But the bus only comes once an hour, so it's recommended to manage your time well so you don't end up waiting around.
