Okinawa Whale Watching Tour (Choose departure from Naha or Chatan Port)

A great whale watching tour! The whole family was happy and we successfully saw whales! Although I got seasick and felt unwell, the staff were very attentive and took good care of me. Overall, it was a very good experience. Highly recommended.

crew was very experienced in spotting whales. we were out in the sea for an hour but didn’t see alot, most of the ones we spotted were whale spouting and fluking only. sea sickness pill helped as none of our family experienced nauseousness.

Second whale watching we’ve done in Okinawa. This location was much closer to us which is why we booked it. We got to see a lot from a mother/daughter whale pair. But the whole trip was maybe an hour. Once you get your moment there’s no point in them staying longer I guess. So we spent over $200 for our family for a 30-45 time with the whales. Would’ve like more for that price. But I kinda get it.

December isn't the most active time for whales, so seeing them isn't guaranteed every day. We were lucky to see them, but you'll mostly just see the whales fluke, spout, and fins. You can see them much more clearly at an aquarium. It's very cold, windy, and intermittently rainy at sea in winter, and you're out at sea for a long time, so be sure to wear enough clothing. Also, the waves are sometimes quite big, so be sure to take motion sickness medicine.

Experience: We chased two whales for about 45 minutes to an hour under clear skies and took many photos. The boat crew provided sick bags, and you can buy motion sickness medication before departure.

My first booking was cancelled due to bad weather but managed to book the next day one smoothly with no issues! The guide on the morning pink boat on 23 Jan was super friendly and helpful! Really appreciated his enthusiasm as well! Overall a very good experience but remember your motion sickness meds!!!

The pickup and drop-off times were punctual, and the English-speaking guide was very dedicated.

After a short boat ride, we saw whales not far from the shore, and there were several showy dives, a great experience.

Definitely worth going! Although the itinerary changed, I'm very grateful for the help from Azure Travel Agency! So happy to have seen whales 🐳

This whale watching trip required good weather. Unfortunately, the boat searched for three hours but couldn't find any whales. We still received a small gift on the way back.
