Reviews
The tour guide gave careful instructions and the shuttle bus was on time and the parking space was comfortable. The ski resort has sufficient facilities, including restaurants, equipment sales or rental, toilets, and rest areas. There are many cable car locations, no need to queue, and the ski slopes are spacious. I had a great time with my good friends today. Klook allows you to book a coach who can speak Cantonese and Mandarin. I saw that the coach was very dedicated to teaching the students. If it is your first time skiing, it is recommended that you ask the coach to help you and your friends get started as soon as possible and enjoy the fun of skiing. $500 round trip ticket including skis and snowboard shoes is very cost-effective and highly recommended. But be careful because the snow may be hard due to insufficient snowfall, so it is recommended that you wear protective equipment, especially girls and children. I wish you all good health and a pleasant journey!
Honestly an amazing day!! so thankful to the staff for working the public holiday and getting us there early. There were so few people when the slopes first opened. I had never heard of Oak Valley Ski Resort but it has great facilities and staff and was only one hour from Seoul. our whole team was great! Bei was so cheerful, the crew were so thorough with getting our ski suits sorted and even checked all the pockets. Jackie was so sweet and even helped me pull my boots off when I was struggling. I highly recommend this tour!!
Coach Bay took us for skiing lesson together with an assistant. They are very patient and encouraging. They can coummuniate in Chinese and English very well. The resort is perfect with lesser crowd. After the lesson, we can practice skiing for a few more hours before the coaches came back to help us take personal video of the skiing trip down the slopes. Very glad to join this tour with my boys. Highlight of our trip.
Must experience!!!! We really had a great time during our ski trip. We had ski lessons with our very professional instructor “BAY”. She taught us from how to put on our ski gears up until how to ski the slopes. Bay was very helpful enough to teach us everything we need to know as a beginner. We would really love to come back at Oak Valley and get Bay again to teach us intermediate level. The whole ski trip was very fun.
It was a really great trip, a super beautiful day. Tour guide JINJIN contacted us about the meeting time and location the day before departure, and arrived on time on the same day, with clear explanations on the car. We chose ski that day, and the process of renting clothes was very smooth. The most important thing is that we met the super patient coach Bay. Under her guidance, the children quickly mastered the skills. She also helped the children I took a lot of photos and videos. As an adult who is afraid of falling, Coach Bay was very patient and allowed me to succeed. She also specially arranged time in the afternoon to help me record the video. I am really grateful to her. Another thing that deserves praise is that my friend gave up quickly in the morning because he was not used to it, but Coach Bay really kept encouraging him and came to us in the venue restaurant when we were eating at noon to encourage him to try again. I specially contacted the venue staff to borrow shoes and equipment again, and finally set off successfully in the afternoon. My friend also completed the entire slope very smoothly. It was so perfect. We finally got together with Coach Bay and took a group photo happily. It was really full of excitement. A memorable and happy trip.
Visited on 20th Dec23. First time skiing for my family. Bus pick-up process was smooth. A little chaotic at the ski jackets and pants changing store but the staff were around to help newbies like us. Rental of helmets, googles and gloves can be done swiftly at the same store. Then another short ride in the same bus to the ski resort where we will gather in our respective groups and collect our skis, poles and boots. Karen and Jin Joo (not sure if is spelt correctly) are our coaches. Very patient and enthusiatic. After the scheduled 2hrs lesson, they will still be hanging around the slope to guide the participants. They even volunteered to take videos and pictures of us while skiing down the slope together. Excellent service from Karen and Jin Joo. The beginner slope is wide and long, and since it was not crowded on that day, we managed to do eight runs. Lastly, just to add that the food court serves very good pizzas.
Our family had a great time in this ski trip. The Trainers (Bay and Oliver) assigned to us were amazing fun and caring to be with in ensuring that we know how to ski, have fun and most importantly be safe. They also make sure we max out our experience on the trip. The tour guide was great too. Btw you don’t have bring anything if you are renting the clothes and gears. Go light is our advice.
I really had good and fun time at this ski resort. All the Guide Bay Jacky, Andy, Jennie are superb! Taking good care of us and clear instruction. From The meeting point myeongdong exit 2 to get us to the rental place for snow gears and finally to the ski resort was smooth. Bay even go extea miles by giving us proper intruction what to get for safety and i recommend everyone to get the butt n knees padding protector! Pls also bring extra CASH coz i rented my helmet and gloves plus the padding and i just had exactly 25,000 kw haha. The slopes was nice and less crowded. So i had multiple rounds to snowboard no queue at some point. The intermediate trail was also nice once u familiar with the beginners slope. Overall i had a blast there with my new found fren Asfa and i dont mind to come again next time!! Oh yea there is also 1 shop close to the entrance where this lady is so generous to let us try the soup and rice cake for free. Chicken mayonese rice was good!
I almost missed the coach and thanks to cheerful and jovial bi-lingual tour guide JinJin texted and waited for me as i lost my way walking to exit. Skiing instructor Bay was so patience coaching n guiding us in lesson. As a senior,I kept falling, no more stamina and giving up at first round. Bay encouraged me to try 2nd round in which I did and I couldn't continue as I have another day trip next day. Returned my ski and boots early n had a bowl of hot rice cake soup instead. Thank you and I do enjoy my first time skiing. Probably next time to stay overnight at the beautiful resort and try skiing again
Awesome itinerary! From the email reminder the day before departure, the tour guide JINJIN showed up on time and confirmed that everyone was on the bus. After giving a detailed explanation on the bus, he continued to change into ski clothes and headed to the ski resort. Coach Karen took over and guided us in wearing snow boots and getting on the Ski. Karen is so nice!!! Even though she was not very good at the beginning and kept falling down, Karen took the trouble to figure out how to teach me. The itinerary was scheduled for two hours of teaching, but Karen still followed everyone until the afternoon, and enthusiastically helped everyone take photos and videos. Special thanks to the coach Karen!!! We brought the children to experience skiing for the first time, and we left a very wonderful impression. remember!
Good to know
What should I wear?
Leggings or thermal innerwear are recommended under your ski pants. Wearing jeans underneath can make skiing uncomfortable and restrict movement. Long socks that reach your calves are highly recommended for comfort while wearing ski boots.
