Reviews
Reviews summarywonderful tour. the office was easy to find, the staff were so warm and welcoming and out tour guide was a joy. Everything was explained clearly with regards to the itinerary and also how much time we had at each location and when we would need to return to the bus. if you love Studio Ghibli this is a must and this tour makes it so easy. the Edo-tokyo architectural park is also wonderful and an enjoyable edition to the tour.
The tour was excellent, and the guide was super nice. We had a lovely meal with a beautiful view of the city, followed by a visit to traditional houses and many other things that inspired Miyazaki's drawings. The Ghibli Museum is really cool with lots of little things to discover if you look around a bit, and it will delight all fans. I highly recommend this excursion! 😁
loved this tour. lunch was brilliant in gorgeous surroundings. stopped at Jindaiji temple which was just beautiful. ghibli was just fantastic and so interesting. big Tototo fan, it was living the dream!
A dream come true! I didn't even try to buy a ticket for just the Ghibli Museum online after reading the reviews, so I immediately booked this tour. Our guide, Yuki-san, explained everything beautifully and in great detail in English. At the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum, Yuki-san shared some interesting stories connected to Hayao Miyazaki. A must for all Ghibli fans!
we started with a beautiful buffet lunch at a gorgeous hotel. Then we went to the outdoor museum which has some really cool buildings. Lastly to the Ghibli museum which was just cuteness overload. I went solo and made friends with another solo traveller, which was a lovely unexpected bonus. The guide was so lovely and fun and sweet. So glad I did this tour.
I went with my husband and we had a great time. Lunch at the hotel was delicious, it had a beautiful view and the bathroom was surprisingly fancy. The open-air museum was incredible because it was a place full of culture but also because it had a very peaceful atmosphere with cicadas and birds. The Ghibli museum is a spectacle because it is so beautiful. We saw original art, image transitions, bought things in the gift shop and watched an exclusive film. An unmissable experience. Our tour guide was Joy and she is very fun and dedicated. Our driver was also very kind. Yaba!!!
this was my second time going on this tour. and it's fantastic. take the stress out of getting the tickets to the Ghibli museum. and you get to see the inspection behind some of the films locations. and have a fantastic lunch. the guide is the same as last time lol and she is wonderful full of information and very fun 😊
The tour overall was great. Each location was fun, the hotel was beautiful, the open air museum was really cool, and of course the Ghibli Museum was amazing. Our tour guide gave us helpful information about the area while we were on the bus, and also spoke a lot about Hayao Miyazaki. The only thing I found odd when speaking about Studio Ghibli is that she only ever mentioned Miyazaki, and never once mentioned Isao Takahata, or Toshio Suzuki, the other two founders of the studio. Overall the tour was a great investment.
Itinerary was nicely arranged and it was not too rush. Our tour guide, Marie, was very knowledgeable and informative. The Ghibli museum was very interesting to explore too bad photos or videos were not allowed, the hotel western lunch buffet was great and the architecture park was interesting to see the old buildings which inspired the movie Spirited Away.
We booked this package as a backup in case we couldn't get tickets through the Ghibli Museum's regular reservation system. It turned out to be a good decision because that's exactly what happened. We didn't have any particular expectations for the hotel buffet or the Open-Air Architectural Museum, but both were very enjoyable. We ate very well, and the old buildings at the Architectural Museum were interesting. The highlight, of course, was the Ghibli Museum visit, which was surprising and quite wonderful. Let's not forget our guide, who was lovely and shared relevant information throughout the day. Even though it was obviously significantly more expensive than individual museum tickets, we were charmed by the day as a whole.
