This was such a great experience. The staff spoken English well enough. We had a lady working with our group the whole time who took videos and pictures for us so we could just enjoy the whale shark snorkeling. Truly amazing to watch this beauty in his natural habitat.
THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING EXPERIENCE EVER HANDS DOWN!! We were flying in to Okinawa pretty much just to do this excursion. Having no scuba diving experience at all the instructors were so very patient with us, running through some techniques before hand just to give us a good set of tools. They provide all the equipment for the learner dive and show you how to use it. We also rented the underwater camera honestly a must for this experience. Our instructors this really talented lady and guy were so patient with showing us how to do everything. So the actual dive you go on the boat they take you to where the whale shark is being rehabilitated and get you ready cleaning your mask and giving tips along the way. once your there they guide you off the boat front facing so no worries about flipping backwards like you see in videos. The instructors control the buoyancy so all you need to do is breath. And then the experience I won't spoil you just have to experience it but its life changing!
We drove there ourselves. Beforehand, a staff member contacted me via WhatsApp to communicate what to bring and the location of the parking lot, which was reassuring. We were inexplicably nervous when we got in the water, as we had no diving experience. The instructor constantly checked to make sure we were okay – and I mean constantly, because I must have looked very not okay, and even had to get out of the water midway... After adapting, we finally enjoyed watching the whale sharks. We mainly held onto a net on the outside, while a staff member inside the net held a large bag of food to feed and attract the whale sharks to swim around. We got very close to the whale sharks many times, which was really cute. However, the instructor said we couldn't touch them because it would scare them, so we were very good. When they swam close to us, we were actually afraid of touching them. After it was over, they gave us some bread to feed the fish on the side, which were also quite large. Note that their underwater camera uses an SD card, which they will return to you afterward... If you want to view the photos immediately, it's best to bring your own adapter. I originally wanted to ask the instructor to take a picture of the two of us with the whale shark, but I didn't know how to turn around and tell him underwater, and he didn't seem to sense it, which felt like a pity. I should have mentioned it earlier. I didn't know how to turn on the hot water in the shower area, so I just took a shower with room temperature water. Don't expect too much.
It is a really great place for fun and the experiences is awesome! I can see the same type of fish in zoo, but now I got dive in and can see all the fish under the sea!
Snorkeling with whale sharks is an unforgettable adventure! The sheer size and grace of these gentle giants are awe-inspiring. Swimming alongside them feels surreal, and their calm demeanor makes the experience even more magical. The vibrant underwater world, combined with the thrill of being close to such magnificent creatures, creates a perfect blend of excitement and tranquility. It's a must-do for any ocean lover! Highly recommend it for an exciting yet peaceful encounter with nature.
The first dive was actually a bit scary, but luckily there were many instructors here who could speak Chinese and were very patient. It is really shocking to overcome your fear and have close contact with whale sharks. It is recommended that you rent an underwater camera and a car. The taxi fare to Okinawa is a bit expensive.
I originally booked a whale shark diving trip, but it was sold out, so I chose whale shark snorkeling. Although I can't swim, I can snorkel with the instructor with confidence. The whale shark was right below us, and I could see it very clearly. It was very close to us. A very satisfying experience
super nice experience with a taiwanese to be our guide who is very friendly and helpful. he also helped us to take many great photos! must join!!
It was a great trip. Saw lots of fish and two whale sharks. It was a great experience and would recommend. The instructors were great.
My 11-year-old daughter loves sharks and we came to Okinawa specifically to swim with whale sharks. She successfully experienced the fun of diving and saw real whale sharks up close! Thanks to the kind Alen, the instructor, who explained everything in Chinese, making us feel very secure. I recommend renting a camera; the instructor will help take photos and videos, and you can take the memory card with you afterward. A wonderful memory! 👍🏻
