- Manually operated wheelchairs and strollers are available free of charge at both museum checkrooms. No reservation is required
- Accessible parking is available in several garages (Oversized vans are not allowed)
- Height clearance for each garage: Millennium Park Garage (203.2 cm), East Monroe Street Garage (203.2 cm) & Grant Park North Garage (198.1 cm)

- Visitors with implanted or wearable medical devices: It is recommended to consult the device manufacturer or physician for information (the museum uses a security screening and weapon-detection system at all entrance)
- The system uses low-frequency (ELF) radio waves, similar to retail anti-theft systems, to detect prohibited weapons and devices. It complies with national and international safety standards and is safe for the general public, including pregnant women and children

Be sure to allocate at least three hours of time. The collection is rich and there are many famous masterpieces. It is very enjoyable to read! There is free storage next to the ticket office. In winter, be sure to store all your coats, coats, scarves, hats and gloves, so you can browse the museum easily and comfortably!

“An absolutely world-class museum with an incredible collection of art from different periods and cultures. The exhibits were beautifully curated, and the atmosphere was inspiring and relaxing at the same time. Seeing famous masterpieces in person was unforgettable. The staff were helpful, and the museum was clean and well organized. Definitely a must-visit when in Chicago.”

During my recent visit to the Art Institute of Chicago, I was thoroughly impressed by the museum's incredible collection and the stunning beauty of its exhibits. The museum itself is a treasure trove of art, offering a wide array of pieces spanning from ancient to contemporary.
However, I must share a note of caution for visitors who are particularly looking forward to seeing Van Gogh's famous painting, "The Bedroom." Currently, this masterpiece is on loan to a museum in the UK, which I was not aware of until my visit. This was a bit of a letdown, as seeing this painting was one of the main reasons for my visit.
