Actually, this is my first time here. We couldn't book our usual hotel for the company gathering, so we decided to try this place since it looked okay. We arrived around 11:50 AM today, but there was a long line. Check-in started at 12:00 PM, and it took about 20 minutes to get in. This is definitely something that needs improvement. Perhaps guests could be allowed to enter a bit earlier, even if food service only begins at 12:00 PM? For a company gathering or any other event, if you spend half an hour waiting in line to be seated, that leaves only two hours out of a two-and-a-half-hour slot, which isn't really enough time. That's just my opinion! Overall, for the price of around two hundred dollars, there are many other options. It's not bad, but it's just average. The environment is a bit old, and the low ceiling creates a somewhat cramped feeling. The food quality is average, and the presentation isn't as good as other hotels in the same price range. The food quality here isn't bad, but it's just average; you can't really praise it as excellent because the taste is just normal. However, the service staff's attitude is excellent; they are very enthusiastic and polite! The desserts were nothing special, no surprises. On the other hand, as soon as we sat down, I noticed the bread crab, which looked quite appealing. I tried it, and it was unique with a lot of roe! The steak also had a great beef flavor and is worth recommending. The Japanese sashimi was also good, but the sushi wasn't as well-wrapped, though the sushi rice tasted better than average.
On a rare day off, I decided to treat my parents and myself to a meal. Visually, the place isn't large, but the seating is spacious and there's a reasonable amount of space between tables. The food area may not seem extensive, but it has everything you'd expect from a buffet, with more than enough food and some surprises, like the char siu bao (barbecue pork bun), where the attention to detail is impressive, including the availability of Tartar sauce. The salad bar is even better. The row of drink cabinets along the side is impressive, with a wide variety and ample quantities. There aren't many dessert options, but they're all unique; my father couldn't stop raving about the bread pudding. My mother mentioned that the char siu used to be highly praised here, but this time the taste and quality were just average, leaving room for improvement. The seafood is good, including the brown crab. The crab legs have a fresh, sweet taste, but the only downside is the slow replenishment; I passed by two or three times and saw empty trays or only a few malnourished-looking legs. Although I'm not a crab leg fanatic, seeing empty trays when I wanted to get some was disappointing. Replenishing the empty trays promptly would be generous and appropriate. It's important to know that customers tend to take more when something is scarce, even taking for others at the table, but when there's plenty, they're not as anxious. Finally, around 2 PM, a female staff member came to remind us that the buffet was ending soon, inviting us to take advantage of the remaining time to eat more. Wow, I've been to many buffets in recent years, and this kind of thoughtful reminder is rare, especially since they usually just come to collect payment (the hotel should know the agent has already paid in full). This heartwarming and sincere gesture deserves praise and motivated me to share my experience. Overall, the high value for money of this buffet is undeniable, the service is memorable, and it's worth visiting again.
On Saturday, March 22, 2025, I went to The Food Gallery at The Langham Hotel, Hong Kong for a buffet lunch and it was such an amazing experience! From 11:30 to 15:00, the atmosphere here is very relaxed, the environment is bright and comfortable, and people feel relaxed as soon as they enter. The long-legged crabs in the seafood area are particularly fresh, with sweet meat, and are a perfect match with the sauce! You can also eat oysters all you can, which I particularly like. The delicious taste makes you want to eat more. And the crab salad is my favorite, with a refreshing taste and delicious crab meat. Then there was the grilled Argentinian sirloin steak, which was charred on the outside and tender on the inside, with rich gravy. It really surprised me and was a paradise for meat eaters! The dessert section is also not to be overlooked. The flavors of Mövenpick ice cream dazzled me. The chocolate cake and fruit tart are must-try items. They have a light texture and will not make you feel sick. The service staff were also very friendly and always ready to help, making the entire dining experience even more pleasant. Overall, I was impressed by this buffet lunch and will definitely come back next time to continue enjoying these delicious foods!
very high cp buffet with oysters, lobsters, sea urchin, suckling pig, roast duck and pistachio tart & dubai chocolate... loads of food choices in limited place... highly recommended... and the staffs there r super nice too... 9.9/10
gd food and service... only they set the tables too close... not comfy at all... and long queue for the oysters coz the staff taking v long time to clean them up... but we only can take two pcs of oysters each time... such a joke...
restaurant not big but serving delicious food with loads of food choices... the waitresses there r very nice too... i esp like the suckling pig & the portuguese pistachio egg tarts... and the rare chocolate & salted caramel movenpick ice-cream... highly recommended...
Very good experience. The ambiance was pleasant and welcoming. The food offered a wide variety of dishes, including seafood, desserts, cheeses, sushi, etc. Oysters are available only on weekends, and crab during the week. The service was excellent, with attentive and courteous staff.
there’s variety of yummy foods ~ I like oysters, shrimp & sashimi. I bought the tickets in advance at Klook, got a 25% discount, it’s value for money. staff are very friendly and details minded, they prepare a birthday surprise for my friend even I didn’t mention in my booking.
It was our second time being there and happily we had a larger table with more space than last time. We enjoyed our lunch with a satisfying variety of cuisines. Service and quality of food were great. I think we will come again.
