Okinawa Half-Day Whale Watching Tour

The day before, you will receive an email notification regarding the meeting point. I personally chose the shuttle service to and from the shop (if you're driving, you can email the shop in advance to inquire about parking availability nearby). The shuttle will arrive punctually at your chosen pick-up location, and after confirming your name, it will depart. Upon arrival at the shop, the staff will first group everyone by their chosen language for the briefing before boarding the boat. Once on board, the tour guide, who is Taiwanese, will explain all the important details of the trip and inform you that if no whales are sighted, you can apply for a refund at the shop after disembarking. Approximately one hour after setting sail, we found traces of whales. From the moment the whales were spotted, the boat crew began counting the viewing time, which lasted about one hour. During this time, the guide also explained the whales' habits and activities, mentioning that whales surface to breathe every 10 to 15 minutes, at which point you can see them spout and show their tail fins. So, during that hour, we saw whales about four to five times, which was very spectacular. After the one-hour whale watching session, the boat returned to the harbor. Upon returning to the shop, you can take the shuttle back to your morning pick-up location to disperse. Overall, this tour is highly recommended; it offers great value for money, and the guide was very professional, providing detailed explanations and clear instructions.

staff were friendly and nice throughout. they also shared interesting facts about the humpback whale while we waited for one to appear. if you’re unable to find the parking, drive to the store first for help and a staff will guide you to the lot! we originally parked wrongly and the staff kindly helped us after. thank you!

Great experience! We went in Jan 2026 and we saw 2-3 whales every 10-15 minutes!! The captain and crew really knew what they were doing, extremely professional and fun!

The guide said that it is a 100% sighting of the whale. exciting chase to catch sight of whale. the sea can be really rough so do prep motion sickness medication.

The itinerary was very smooth, and transportation from downtown Naha was convenient. The boat was clean and equipped with life-saving equipment, which made me feel very safe. The staff was very energetic and professional, providing not only guidance but also thoughtful reminders on how to deal with seasickness. Although the trip was affected by the weather, the overall service quality was excellent, and there was a related guarantee mechanism even though we didn't see any whales. Suitable for the whole family to participate, it is a great choice to easily go out to sea and see the beautiful scenery!

A fantastic experience! The pick-up and drop-off service was punctual and friendly. During the whale watching tour, the guide's explanations were humorous and detailed, and we finally managed to spot humpback whales.

The shuttle is a cute little red bus. Traffic congestion may cause a slight delay. Board the bus after confirming your name, and you will receive a form to sign and a wristband. After picking up everyone, you will go to the pier and hand in the form before boarding the boat. Chinese and English groups will be separated. On the Chinese side, the super adorable Emma guides the Chinese-speaking tourists. She is very humorous and patient. The captain seems to have a wonderful rapport with the whales, saying "They will appear in four minutes," and the whales actually appeared! A very, very pleasant experience. Seeing the whales is great, but being at sea, quietly enjoying the breeze and sunshine, is also very good. Lucky!

The cruise company pick-up and drop-off were punctual. There were Chinese and Japanese tour guides on site providing simultaneous explanations, a great experience.
