What to expect

Foodies are in for a treat with the lively food culture in Hiroshima! Follow your local guide downtown as you discover hidden gems and traditional dishes. Sample delicious oysters and tuck into a forkful of national identity with ‘Hiroshima Okonomiyaki’ - much like the famed Japanese pancake dish but this version also contains yakisoba noodles and is fried in mouth-watering layers. Explore onwards to a standing bar where you can tick off local delicacies and craft beer from your list. Wander through the beautiful Shukkeien Japanese gardens for a traditional tea ceremony and the maple-leaf shaped cakes ‘Momiji manjū’ as your dessert.
