Ninh Binh Day Tour from Ha Noi: Hoa Lu, Trang An, Tam Coc, Hang Mua

this one is an experience to see Ninh Binh. the tour was organized, the food during lunch was good and the tour guide was patient and kind. be sure to stay hydrated, have sunscreen, hats/umbrellas ready, even have a spare clothes/tshirt because it is scorching hot as all the activities were outdoors

The Ninh Binh tour was truly excellent. Our guide was very kind and provided detailed explanations about Hoa Lu, Mua Caves, and Trang An from start to finish, giving us ample time to explore each location. The lunch buffet offered delicious Vietnamese cuisine, and we also had a short bike ride to enjoy the natural scenery. I especially appreciated the extended boat ride through the caves at Mua Caves. I highly recommend this tour for a safe and enjoyable experience! 👍

The biggest highlight of this trip was our guide, Mr. Ben, who was incredibly chatty and full of jokes – both funny and a bit cheeky! His introductions to the attractions were also quite good. We happened to be there right after a typhoon, so a lot of people canceled their trips. As a result, our group wasn't full, with only about twenty people. But it didn't actually rain while we were touring, so our decision to go was the right one. As for the itinerary itself, it was well-organized and packed, but we had enough time to enjoy each attraction. Hoa Lu Ancient Capital is basically a small temple complex. I'm not that interested in historical sites, so it felt a bit like they just added it to fill the day. Then we had a buffet lunch, which was like a large hotel breakfast – a huge variety of options and the food was pretty good, so I was happy with that. In the afternoon, we went to Trang An for a boat ride, which was definitely the highlight. The scenery was stunning, and every photo I took could be used as a desktop wallpaper. The only downside was that the water level had risen after the heavy rain, so the boats couldn't enter the caves. So, keep in mind that you might not be able to go into the caves depending on when you visit. But overall, I was still very satisfied with the scenery. The last attraction was Mua Cave, which involved climbing a mountain. It's only a little over a hundred meters high, but the mountain is covered in sharp rocks, and some parts are quite steep and narrow, so it takes some effort to reach the top – know your limits. Overall, the whole trip is a very well-established tour route and a classic day trip around Hanoi. I think it's best to choose a large group with an English-speaking guide. Spending a day with strangers from all over the world, chatting, making friends, and seeing different walks of life - that's what traveling should be like.

great experience with one minor hiccup. let me start with whats great, i love the bus driver he was kind and also attentive to the tourists cause my sister mistakenly boarded the wrong bus but he saw her and called out to her. another is that he is such a great driver that i can fall asleep and trust that we are safe. for the guide, martin is kind and helped my sister wash her wound as she fell off the bike. MY CONCERN is that theres not enough medical supply in case of emergency and why are the bikes provided with breaks that do not work? but i must say, all in all it was a very great experience and its really good for the value of your money.

We really loved this trip to Ninh Binh. Our guide Mung was very jolly and knowledgeable. He explained things clearly and took us around to all the attractions as per our itinerary. I went to Ninh Binh using this tour for my first time “solo trip”. It turns out great! Kenny, our tour guide was engaging, accommodating and helpful. He ensure everyone has a good time there. He also did the sitting arrangement so that the solo travelers will not feel alone. The schedule is also on time, so no delays or wasting time. Despite the hot & humid weather, I enjoyed the time here.

BEST EXPERIENCE in may Hanoi trip. Please try this activity and do the Trang An route, we have crossed a lot of caves and the guide is too considerate and the itinerary is right on time. The pickup and drop off also very smooth.

It is true when they say that weather in Vietnam could be quite unpredictable. We went in Ninh Binh on Apr 09, Wednesday, and thankfully the sun is out and we were able to capture good pictures. The tour guide is very knowledgeable and communicates in proper english. The buffet lunch is not perfect, but can suffice the energy you need for the 2 activities after. This tour is highly recommended if you are visiting Vietnam!

Ninh Binh is a must when visiting Northern Vietnam. The tour is physically tiring but very fun. Fist stop is Hoa Lu. Some areas with strict dress code but there is shoal that is free to use. It was just that when we tour the area, Students were also on Field trip making the area crowded. Seems like 300 approx are on Field trip. Next itinerary is the Trang An complex. Tour guide decided to have it early and later lunch to not encounter the students making a lesser crowd while on boat ride which is good. Trang An is one of the best 2 hours of the tour. Heat is bearable and the boat have a foldable umbrella. Third stop is the Buffet lunch. Food is great with multiple variety. You can choose to ride a bike along Tam Coc Village. Last stop is the Mua cave. It is 500steps up and 500 steps down. Be ready physically. Tiring but with cinematic view. Mr. Ben the Man made the tour enjoyable. He is a complete package as a tour guide. Informative and cracks wholesome jokes. 5/5 for Mr. Ben.
