The tour was awesome! We got to see a rafflesia flower and the guides were really helpful. The team brought us by car from the HQ to the orang asli village where we began our hike. The trail was challenging enough and the guides were friendly and helped us along the way. The guide even help make a hiking stick out of a branch for us to help with the trail. Then once we got back to the HQ, we were surprised by the lunch that was laid out for us in such a special way and it was so tasty. Overall, we had a great experience and would love to go for other tour with this company again in the future. highly recommended! 👍
I recently went on a jungle trekking trip with my family to see the Rafflesia and it was an incredible experience that I won't forget. We're entering an Orang Asli village for the very first time. We captured images of raja Brooke butterflies. The trek took us deep into the rainforest, surrounded by trees, the sounds of insects and fresh air. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable, pointing out many interesting plants along the way. Spotting a blooming Rafflesia is a rare and lucky event - it only blooms for a few days (3-4 days). When we finally reached the Rafflesia , it was in full bloom-a massive, strange-looking flower with a reddish-brown colour. The whole trek felt like a journey into a hidden world. If you enjoy nature, don't mind getting a little dirty and want to see something truly unique. I highly recommend this experience. Remember to wear appropriate footwear, bring water, and go with a tour guide.
our tour guides was nice and professional, picked us up right on time. the trekking was not very hard and the forest is amazing. saw two blooming rafflesia flowers and several bulbs. had lunch at nice place by the lake. amazing tour, highly recommend
Great experience and got to see rafflesia and amazing rajah Brooke butterflies! The guides were very helpful and patient. Hike is not easy and can be steep. But worth it!!!! ☺️
Choosing a morning slot reduced the chance of afternoon showers, and having a dedicated contact person for the booking made us feel much more at ease. We weren't sure if we'd see the flower, so we were both nervous and excited. Our guide that day was incredibly friendly and lovely. I hadn't hiked in a long time and was a bit worried about some steep sections, so I brought my own hiking poles. We were very lucky with our local guide and finally saw the Rafflesia flower! We also visited a butterfly sanctuary and saw some quite large Asian butterflies. It was a wonderful day.
We had an extraordinary morning and were amazed by the rafflesias. Our guide, 'EL,' was a very friendly and kind person who constantly provided explanations for all our questions, in addition to always sharing his smile with us. Definitely 100% recommendable.
It was a pretty tough trek, but we successfully saw the Rafflesia! It was a lot of fun! 🌺
Before the tour, I was hesitant because I was told that the flowering period of Rafflesia is short, only 3 or 4 days, and if you are lucky, you can see it, but if it is not in bloom, you can change to tubing or other tours and get a refund. So, I asked if I could do trekking on that day because I only had a day to stop by Ipoh, and they replied with a photo that it is in bloom now! They quickly organized a trekking tour for me. They were flexible with the time, which was very helpful. It was a 10-minute drive from the meeting place to the office, where I could leave my luggage, change clothes, and drive 20 minutes to the village at the foot of the mountain where I could see the Rafflesia. The trekking tour from the Orang Asli village is about an hour round trip. There were insects and butterflies I had never seen before. Millipedes several times thicker than those in Japan (feeling the same when you touch them), caterpillars, light blue ferns, green bananas, leaves bigger than my face, all of which were fascinating. Rafflesia suddenly appeared on the way, and it looked like a red flower bathed in light in the mountains. You can also touch it. I didn't know about the buds and calyx until I saw them. Just as we finished looking at the Rafflesia, it started to rain, so we drove halfway down the hill to the village in the pouring rain and drove back to the office. All the food they prepared was delicious, and the sound of the river was really nice. The lampshade was a bird's nest! That was the best. All the staff were kind, and always happy to talk to me, even though I don't speak English very well. Thank you so much.
