Reviews
I was allowed into the museum 15 minutes before the scheduled time. It's very convenient that the voucher (QR code) is displayed immediately after the reservation is completed. The cruise ships seem to depart every 30 minutes from 9:00 AM to about 3:00 PM, and I felt this price was very cheap for a 75-minute canal cruise and a museum ticket. The captain on the cruise ship explains the famous buildings in English. You can enjoy an audio guide in your preferred language by plugging earphones into each table. Clean earphones were given to me when boarding. It seems like you can see famous buildings better if you sit on the left side of the boat.
This is a must visit if you're a history buff with an interest in art, particularly art from the middle ages, the Renaissance and the Romantic period. There is a big section on religious art too. But even if you're not a history or art fan, you can still visit to admire the architecture and the spacious contemporary interior. There's also a cafe that serves tasty snacks and drinks, and of course the ubiquitous gift shop for museum souvenirs. The canal cruise was also quite interesting as the Captain took time to explain the history and interesting nuggets of info with us.
this is a very interesting museum. also very easy to redeem. i just purchased it within the day and it just seamlessly allowed me to go inside the museum
What I like about the museum is its very manageable to go around it. Most displays were paintings. Loved the beautiful paintings. Paintings from Rembrandt and Van Gogh are the higlights.
very nice experience. learned a lot about Amsterdam in this tour, including history inside museum and people living now. canal cruise talk is very knowledgeable.
RIJKSMUSEUM: had a wonderful time looking at the art, visiting the cafe, and buying souvenirs at the gift shop. The museum also offers an audio tour, which you can do for free if you download the museum's app. Just remember to bring headphones/earphones/airpods/earbuds with you! CANAL CRUISE: the audio tour was really informative and the scenery was interesting. I felt really safe during the boat ride, it's one of the bigger ones with a toilet at the back.
Smooth entry to both museum as well as canal cruise. Museum was very interesting with extensive paintings and artifacts and history!
The Dutch museum, as recommended by friends, is definitely worth a visit. The canal cruise was also beautiful, but unfortunately, the audio guide wasn't comprehensive enough, so I often didn't know whether to look right or left. The boarding point for the boat is very close to the museum; just exit the main entrance, turn right, and walk along the canal, and you'll quickly arrive. The only strange thing was that the service staff at the check-in counter scanned my QR code and indicated that I could order food, but it would cost extra, and they didn't give me a meal box. However, when I purchased the ticket, it was supposed to be included. Since she couldn't understand Chinese, and I was in a hurry, I didn't argue, as she wouldn't have understood what was written in Chinese anyway. Honestly, I would recommend a live guided tour of the museum over a meal box.
Online purchase from Klook was fuss free and easy. You need at least 3 to 4 hours to learn some of the 800 years of Dutch art and history in this museum.
Big museum with 4-5 floors. Has some of Van Gogh's collections in case you cannot get the Van Gogh museum's tickets.
