Very easy process, whichever way you go through. Just present the QR code and you will be given your tickets and seat numbers. A quick note: Arriving 30 minutes before is okay, as their counters usually open exactly that time. Immigration should be quick, but be ready wuth your documents should it be needed.
Last time, I tried Super Class with a friend (2 people total), and here's my firsthand experience: As soon as we arrived at the Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal, there was an exclusive VIP Lounge waiting for us. Inside, there were complimentary drinks, snacks, and WiFi. We chilled on the sofas, avoiding the crowds, super relaxing! We had priority boarding, and the cabin was on the upper level, with much more space. The seats were adjustable, spacious contoured seats, so soft and comfortable that you could even take a nap. From the window seat, we watched the Pearl River sea view fly by, with an unobstructed view of the blue sky and ocean, so idyllic! During the journey, there was a complimentary hot meal or snack set (sandwiches, hot drinks, cold drinks, desserts, etc.), and newspapers and magazines to read. Drinks were unlimited, making it feel like taking a luxurious business class ferry. The boat travels fast and steadily (weather permitting), and in 55 minutes we arrived at the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal in Macau. With priority disembarkation, getting off the boat was super quick. We didn't have to wait in long queues for customs, and we arrived directly near the Legend Palace Hotel, perfect! The two of us sat together, the seats were wide enough, and the privacy was high. We could chat, eat, and take pictures, turning a short trip into a mini-vacation, so romantic! Some people say the lounge isn't big enough, or the priority disembarkation isn't perfect enough, but overall, upgrading to Super Class is definitely worth the price (money aside). It's much more comfortable than Economy, especially when going to Macau with your partner~
easy fast and convenient. immigration check is just upon entrance and just sit back relax and wait for an hour then you're there. another immigration check and you're good to go. seats are pre reserved but i think you can seat anywhere once final passengers are seated. price is reasonable.
I had booked the 230pm ferry but arrived at the pier early. Was pleasantly surprised to be given a ticket for the next available ferry at 1pm. Everything was seamless. Scanned the QR code directly from the app and was waved through. Happy that my Superclass ticket included a free meal with a bottle of water. Made my way safely to Macao, well-fed and satisfied. Thank you, Klook!
I booked it last minutes on Klook . I didn’t have to print out anything,I just used the QR code I got after my purchase. I even got a window seat and I was sitting alone. I would do it again . the ride was 45mins and I didn’t feel it.
super fast and hassle free.. no need to get a physivlcal tucket. we just showed our qr codes by the gates then we were advised to go directly to the departure area... this despite the fact that we arrived an hour early than our booked scheduled. we were allowed early boarding yey! the entire sail was smooth and relatively fast.. it was a great experience.
You will arrive at the Macau Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal in about an hour from Hong Kong. The ferry terminal from Hong Kong is accessed from the 3rd floor of a building directly connected to the MTR. The entrance to the red TurboJET boarding area is to the left after going up the escalator. There is also a ferry terminal for Macau on the right, but please note that it is a different company. You can enter directly with a QR code. It seemed that seats were assigned just before boarding the ferry, after passing passport control. Seats appeared to be filled starting from the window side. If you prefer a window seat, it seems best to check in early. I had heard from reviews that the ride could be rough and cause seasickness, but perhaps because the weather was good, we arrived in Macau in no time. It might have been my imagination, but I felt like I might get seasick if I stared at the waves. If you arrive in Macau on the first ferry from Hong Kong at 7:30 AM, the free shuttle buses to and from hotels are not yet operating. I believe the first one departs at 9:30 AM. I took a bus for 6 Hong Kong dollars (6 patacas) to the area around the World Heritage sites. Since there are fewer people in the early morning, I think you can enjoy sightseeing at a leisurely pace.
It was my first time riding a ferry, and it was a pleasant experience. The trip took about an hour, and the ride was smooth the entire time. Just be sure to arrive on time so you don’t miss your trip and end up buying another ticket for the next one.
If you have time to spare in Hong Kong, try taking a day trip to Macau. Although there were many people around, it wasn't as cramped and crowded as the streets in Hong Kong. The sights were definitely enjoyable, despite it being a hot day. The booking experience via Klook, using a Turbojet Ferry ticket, was seamless. The trip was fast and encountered no problems throughout.
You can buy a ferry ticket to Macau on the day, but it was very good to book through Klook considering the time saving and convenience! If you buy a ticket in advance, you can go directly to the ferry terminal and enter by scanning the QR code, so there is no need to exchange it for a ticket. Immigration procedures were smooth and it was enough to arrive at the ferry terminal 30 minutes before. The boat trip was very fun 🛳️🌊
