Thai Herbal Inhaler Making Workshop at WATAPO Apothecary Bar

Most visitors take Thai herbal remedies home from a shelf. At WATAPO in Tha Tien, steps from Wat Pho, you make your own.

Arrive to jasmine water and a chilled towel in our air-conditioned apothecary bar. Start by finding your Thai element (earth, water, wind or fire) from your birth date.

Then step up to the self-guided bar, where 30+ Thai herbs sit in open glass jars. Smell, compare and choose at your own pace, hand-mix your personal formula and fill your own inhaler.

Decorate it with labels and stickers, then take home a handmade Thai remedy made just for you, from a family of herbal makers working since 1979.

Finish with a 5-minute neck and shoulder massage on the first floor.
