one of the highlights of our trip for both kids and the adults - we had 7 kids and 6 adults and they were awesome! Our kids ages 5-9 had the best time and will have something to remember for ever! Really cool to have custom chopsticks with their names laser engraved. highly recommend for anyone in Osaka!
Nice and cheap small experience and you get a cool souvenir at the end. The guidance was nice and clear with good English. Don't feel pressured to buy the prenium wood, the starting one also looks great!
We had the best time here. Our Sensai’s were so friendly and welcoming. it was such a fun experience, We bought the basic package and added on engraving while we there. we had options of the type of wood we could use and also given suggestions of what we could have engraved on each chopstick. our finished projects were bagged beautifully at the end and our Sensai made flowers, love hearts and gorgeous decorations out of our wood shavings. highly recommend 😊
It was such a wonderful and memorable experience! Making my own chopsticks was so much fun, and it felt very special to create something with my own hands. There were many beautiful, premium Japanese woods to choose from, and I chose Purpleheart, while my 6-year-old son chose Yakusugi, one of the most premium and limited types of Japanese wood. My son absolutely loved the experience as well. The staff were incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful. They introduced themselves as “Sensei,” which means “teacher” in Japanese, and every Sensei was so welcoming, fun, and supportive throughout the experience. We had such a great time and are very happy that we got to create our own unique chopsticks together. Thank you so much for the amazing experience! I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a memorable and authentic Japanese cultural experience.
Manami and her team are incredibly helpful, friendly, and happy to receive you. The location was easy to find, the studio was clean and cozy too. The 'included' wood options are reasonable, but youll definitely find yourself wanting to pick a finer wood, so plan some extra budget (if I recall correctly, they'd range from 2000yen to 7000yen). We chose to have engravings done our chopsticks and it was very quick and I was happy that they explained how they translated our names and invited us to come watch the engraving.
My husband and I did this one together, making each other’s chopsticks. This is the first time we have done anything like this before and we both really enjoyed the experience. Our sensei’s Mao san and Aimi san were great teachers. we opted for the premium package which included selecting a premium type of wood and engraving (laser) our names on the chopsticks. I highly recommend adding this one to your must do list.
The staff were very attentive and kind. they explained the types of wood available to choose from and how to shape the chopsticks. The translation of our names and the engraving were beautiful. We were able to get a same day booking and the staff spoke English well.
We had a wonderful experience making our own chopsticks! We booked online 30 minutes before session. Note that booking through Klook is cheaper than just walking in! Aimi and her trainee (sorry we forgot her name) were lovely and helpful. The room was spacious and well set up and we were given aprons to wear. There were 3 different woods to choose from at no extra cost, other premium woods were available at extra cost but no pressure was made to upgrade. We shaved our chopsticks, sanded and after engravibg was dine we oiled them. Engraving was offered, this cost extra. 4 of us were very happy with the outcome. A large group came as we were finishing up so the end felt a little rushed but overall would definitely recommend.
It was a must-do experience! There were many different kinds of wood to choose from. Since my husband and I were celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary, I chose purpleheart wood. It made the experience even more special, and I couldn’t have chosen a better one. The staff, Mao and Sam, were so enthusiastic and helpful. They explained everything very clearly and were always ready to lend a hand. Thanks to them, I had no trouble throughout the entire experience. The highlight was the engraving! Watching my husband’s and my names being engraved onto the chopsticks little by little felt like magic. It was such a wonderful moment! I’ll definitely treasure these chopsticks forever. Thank you, Mao and Sam, for giving me such an exceptional experience! These chopsticks are the most meaningful gift for our 15th wedding anniversary because I made them with my own hands. ❤️
This was an amazing workshop, all thanks to our knowledgeable and friendly instructors! Our 8 year old was able to fully participate and had a wonderful time. The workshop space is well set up and a great space. We certainly enjoyed making our chopsticks and will treasure them as a keepsake of our travels through Japan. Thank you so much again🥰
