Shanxi Museum

Shanxi Museum is located on Binhe West Road in Taiyuan. Here, you can admire the essence of Shanxi Province's cultural relics, such as the Houma Covenant Tablets from the Spring and Autumn period, the wooden board lacquer paintings from the Northern Wei Dynasty, and the white marble sarcophagus from the Sui Dynasty, all of which are collections of the Shanxi Museum. The exhibits at Shanxi Museum span a vast period, from the relics of ancient humans in prehistoric times to the history of Jin merchants during the Ming and Qing dynasties, all of which you can learn about here.
