The "Takayama Festival" is grandly held in spring and autumn, with magnificent float parades winding through the old streets, making it one of Japan's three most beautiful festivals. In spring, cherry blossoms bloom along the Miyagawa River, complementing the old machiya houses, while in autumn, the vibrant autumn leaves dye the surrounding mountains in warm hues, adding a poetic touch to the entire town., Shirakawa-go: A World Heritage Site, famous for its unique "Gassho-zukuri" thatched-roof houses. From the observation deck, the entire village, intertwined with the surrounding mountains and rice paddies, forms a picturesque pastoral landscape. Shirakawa-go is beautiful in all four seasons: in spring, fresh greenery and canola flowers adorn the village, full of vitality; in summer, rice waves sway in the wind, creating a refreshing rural scene; in autumn, the mountains are dyed crimson by maple leaves, adding warm hues to the Gassho houses; and the most enchanting season is winter—when snow covers the entire Gassho-zukuri village, especially during the annual winter-limited "illumination event," the lights from inside the houses twinkle in the snow, like a snowy town from a fairy tale.
