Reviews
The water clarity around the Kerama Islands is completely unbelievable. Getting to swim through the vibrant coral reefs and spotting marine life in their natural habitat was pure magic. I could stay in this water forever. ✨
The tour was well-organized with a very friendly crew. We arrived at the departure pier at 7:30 AM and returned at 2:00 PM. This tour is definitely worth it; I would only suggest providing some information about the diving spots, which wasn't given. I highly recommend it! The Teada agency was very efficient in their communication.
Super fun experience. First, you take a 45-minute boat ride to your first snorkeling spot, and then you sail on to 2 other spots. You can get lunch on board, or you can bring your own.
We joined as a family of 3, really nice tour guides, lots of time in the water, timing is on schedule i can only recommend them! the most beautiful spot was Kuefu atoll.
The experience was fantastic. Even if you don't speak Japanese, it's not a problem at all; the instructor taught us how to snorkel using simple, easy-to-understand English. We visited three snorkeling spots in one day, and during the lunch break, we could even jump off the boat or swim in the sea.
Excellent staff and equipment. Very accommodating. Our family of 3 with 2 elderlies also enjoyed the snorkeling experience fully with the help of friendly staff, while no other organizers allowed participants over 65 years old. Wetsuits, goggles with anti-fog spray are provided. Lunch of curry rice is warming and suitable after a day at sea. Overall a marvelous experience! Totally recommended.
August 19th Experience Instructor: It was my first time snorkeling, and I suddenly felt scared when I had to enter the vast, endless ocean. However, the instructor explained everything very well (in English and Japanese), and the safety staff, in particular, consistently checked on us, which helped me calm down and fully enjoy the experience. (The captain was incredibly cute!) Experience: I was able to see a sea turtle when it came up to breathe for a moment. ♡ Safety: The best! ♡ P.S. For those who don't know if they get seasick, I recommend just taking medication. We moved to three different spots for snorkeling, and I started feeling seasick by the second spot, couldn't eat lunch, and couldn't go in for the third. There were quite a few women like me, so I definitely recommend taking medication. They say the third spot is the most beautiful, so please take your medication and enjoy all three spots! ♡
The snorkeling experience was wonderful and the boat ride was quite an adventure. We were even able to see sea turtles. In our opinion, the group was almost a bit too large. Changing clothes takes place on-site at the harbor, so it would be helpful if it were mentioned that there are no changing rooms—this way, guests could wear their swimwear when arriving and simply put on their wetsuits at the harbor. Great trip with attentive guides.
I do not recommend this tour. The service and snorkeling experience were poor, and it offers bad value for the money. Out of the three snorkeling spots, only the second one was decent, with relatively clear water, plenty of coral, and many fish. However, when we swam toward where the fish were concentrated, the dive guide rudely called us back. We chose this tour specifically expecting pure snorkeling, but it still mixed in scuba diving. The first and third spots were quite deep with very little coral and fish, making them unsuitable for snorkeling and better suited for scuba diving. The meeting point was unclear. The notification stated there would be a Klook sign, but when we arrived, there was no sign at all. There were several diving companies at this meeting point, and the actual operator of this tour was Teada. It was very difficult to find, and we had to ask people one by one to locate the correct diving organization. The dive guides and crew spoke decent English. Wearing a wetsuit or life jacket was mandatory. However, at the dive sites, we saw other snorkeling groups not wearing wetsuits and freely wearing their own rash guards. Fortunately, we brought our own wetsuits, which saved us from having to wear theirs. The crew and dive guides on this tour almost never helped anyone take pictures. When I previously joined local Japanese tours or went snorkeling on Nusa Penida, the guides always helped people take pictures. The dive guides on this tour simply lay on kickboards acting as boundary markers, constantly shouting whenever anyone swam a little too far. There were nearly 40 tourists on the boat, mostly European and American, with probably only two or three local Japanese tourists. Therefore, this tour exclusively caters to foreigners, especially Westerners. Lunch cost 980 yen per person and consisted of just a single bowl of curry rice with a pitifully small amount of meat. The pick-up and drop-off service was terrible. When we replied to their email, we explicitly stated that we would go to the meeting point ourselves, but that we needed them to drop us off at the hotel after the activity ended. However, at the end of the activity, the organizers told us the vehicle was full and made us find our own way back to the hotel.
We departed at 8 AM and returned to the harbor at 2 PM. It was an incredible experience. I'll never forget encountering a manta ray by chance at the third spot.
