It was pouring rain that day, and the venue was in the middle of a sandy area with no clear directions. Luckily, we arrived half an hour early, completely drenched and disheveled. We ducked into one of the tents and, seeing some sake, asked a staff member if this was the correct location for the event. Unfortunately, the staff member didn't understand English, and even after using a translation app, they seemed clueless. Later, we realized the registration was in another tent nearby, which ironically turned out to be the 'all-you-can-drink' sake tent we were supposed to visit later. When we finally made it to the designated Klook tent in the pouring rain, a female staff member who spoke excellent English and Mandarin approached us. She consulted with a male staff member seated inside, but he told her that it was too early for us to enter. I pointed out that there was nowhere else to shelter from the rain, and we were only 15 minutes early. Looking at the empty performance area, with the sandy ground already half-submerged, I asked if they really expected us to stand in the rain for another 15 minutes. The male staff member remained unresponsive. Suddenly, another female staff member spoke up in Mandarin, asking why they weren't letting guests in. That's how we became the first guests to successfully get out of the rain. In the photos, you can see puddles everywhere and water dripping from the surroundings. The organizers clearly hadn't considered arrangements for bad weather; they only brought out cardboard to cover the puddles halfway through the event. As for the 'all-you-can-drink' sake, we were only allowed to order it once. I'm not sure if this was due to a language barrier or their internal communication issues. I was very disappointed with the event's organization. The only pleasant surprise was the excellent performances inside; I thoroughly enjoyed all of them. However, it felt like a waste to have such great performances in such a makeshift tent.
Experience: This is a truly unique experience for travelers, and if your schedule allows, I highly recommend participating. Enjoy the night cherry blossoms, a simple stage performance, and delicious drinks and snacks. It's perfect for a group of 4-6 friends. The 7:00 PM sky lantern release is also ideal for couples and children. Booking with Klook: Very convenient. Upon arrival at the venue, staff simply registered us, and we were able to enter immediately.
A very nice experience, it's worth it!
Overall this was a good activity but lacking communication and guidance we missed out on a large amount of what we paid for. The drinks are all you can drink but only for 90 minutes. This came with 2,000 Yen in coupons for food that' we did not know about which was great but I sent 1.5 hours in ine line for food so I missed all of the performances and included drink time. Also the premium seating was a table with a red cloth that you just sit on. we thought it was private but it was not you had to share with other groups. If you bought the less premium seating you got the same view of the performance but you had your own private table with chairs. All in all I would recommend but use this review to get the most out of your experience since there was not enough helpful information ahead of time for use. Alos the venue said they close at 21:30 but the all you can drink and performances stopped at 20:30.
definitely a fun festival and was fun to go and listen to traditional music and watch the lanterns be released wish that there was a way to have bought a lantern on here as they were sold out on site had to preorder… and didn’t know as on Klook said could be bought on site… but was fun.
Fun and nice view of sakura
A rather dull festival with little music and few activities. It's also in a park with only a few cherry trees, and everything feels very strange. You pay to sit in a premium area, but the only difference is that you get a bench to sit on, and nothing else is particularly special. You receive a voucher for food, but the lines are huge, and the food is bad. I do not recommend the experience.
