What to expect
Follow Easy Go to Tottori, Japan’s only hidden gem! At the Tottori Sand Dunes, you can challenge yourself to climb “Uma no Se” (Horse’s Back) for a panoramic view of the azure Sea of Japan, or take photos with adorable camels, experiencing an exotic desert atmosphere. Afterwards, walk to the nearby Sand Museum, where the theme changes annually, and the exquisite sand sculptures are breathtaking, making it a visual feast not to be missed when visiting Tottori.
In the afternoon, we will take you into a fragrant pear orchard to pick fresh, ripe pears yourself, and enjoy an all-you-can-eat experience directly at the origin, savoring the juicy and refreshing charm of the fruit!

First of all, thank you to our tour leader, Hua Hua, and our bus driver for this wonderful trip to Tottori! The bus was comfortable, spacious, and air-conditioned, making the journey very pleasant. Hua Hua explained everything clearly in both English and Chinese, so everyone could follow along. We had a short restroom break on the way there and back. At the dunes, we had about 3 hours of free time. The scenery was breathtaking, but bring an umbrella because there is almost no shade! The museum was amazing, and since the theme changes every year, it’s always worth visiting. My favorite part was picking and eating fresh pears—they were delicious! The atmosphere was so friendly and relaxing. Hua Hua ended the trip with kind words and even sang for us. Thank you for making this an unforgettable experience. I hope your dreams come true!
Good to know
- Clothing recommendations: Walking on sand dunes is physically demanding and sand can easily get into shoes. It is recommended to wear comfortable and easy-to-walk casual shoes, or rent special slippers on site.
- Sun protection: There is less shade on sand dunes, so remember to bring sun protection products or a parasol.
- Seasonal limitation: The pear picking experience is affected by the harvest season. If you miss it, you'll have to wait until next year!
