I have been to the other immersive experience using Hokusai as the theme and expected it to be similar. This one was so much better! Much bigger, more interactive, so much things to see and do. I am very interested in yokai and was so impressed by the 3D visuals and real models and games too. Highly recommend it to people who like yokai and Japanese culture.
Super fun and immersive. A lot of effects and very back story of the yokai are very interesting. Some room smells really good!
Good: Explanations of the Yokai were very clear and it was interesting to learn about the history around it. The interactive activities for kids was also fun to do. Bad: The museum itself was really hot inside. It was actually cooler outside the building. People are packed inside the elevator which was really uncomfortable since they had another elevator which wasn't being used. Additionally, it didn't seem super accessibility-friendly; there was only one set of stairs for people to enter and exit.
this was such a cool experience. went once and then a second time because I had to show my friends. price: 10/10 service: 10/10 experience: 10/10 ease of booking on Klook: 10/10
Easy to purchase and use at the venue. Great for anyone who wants to learn more about Japanese folklore and culture. the venue was packed and everyone was enjoying themselves.
Great experience, learned a lot about Yokais and their influence on Japanese culture.
A great immersive exhibit! There were several rooms showing the history of Yokai. From original artwork, digital media, statues, and even a photo encounter with a Yokai. It was very interesting and fun.
The exhibition is well organised and very informative about the history and perspective of Yokai in Japan. The 3D immersive video is very engaging and interactive. Recommend to go if you are interested in Yokai Theme.

Guide

YOKAI Immersive Experience Exhibition is the world’s first immersive digital art museum where you can dive into Japan’s proud Yokai heritage. This exhibition brings to life masterpieces such as "Hyakki Yagyo" (Night Parade of One Hundred Demons), "Hyakumonogatari" (One Hundred Ghost Stories), and legendary creatures like Oni, Tengu, Kappa, and Tsukumogami (object spirits) using cutting-edge video technology and 3D modeling.

Born from the rich imagination of ancient Japanese myths and folklore, these Yokai have transcended generations to be loved by people worldwide. Through advanced digital techniques—including 3DCG, projection mapping, and holographic screens—the humorous figures depicted in traditional Yokai paintings and caricatures (Giga) are dynamically animated. Combined with detailed physical 3D models, the museum recreates a realistic world of spirits.

Furthermore, in collaboration with the Iwase Bunko Library (Japan's first museum for ancient books) and the Yokai Art Museum on Shodoshima, the exhibition provides in-depth commentary on Yokai art and culture. It unravels the history of these supernatural beings and reveals how they have evolved into the Japanese pop culture we know today.
