More about Baia Archaeological Park Guided Visit and Boat Tour in Bacoli

This exciting boat excursion offers a rare opportunity to explore the Baia Submerged Archaeological Park aboard a vessel with a transparent bottom. Participants can admire the submerged Roman villas of Terme del Lacus and Villa a Protiro, where remarkably preserved mosaics—some black and white, others polychrome—still decorate ancient rooms and baths once used by Roman elites. A professional diver from the archaeological park will highlight key underwater remains, while the onboard guide provides insights into the history, archaeology, and natural setting of the area. The experience continues with a scenic cruise along the Phlegrean coast, offering views of Monte Nuovo, Italy’s youngest volcano, and the impressive Aragonese Castle of Baia from the sea. The excursion operates subject to sea and weather conditions; in case of rough seas, rescheduling or a refund will be offered
