FlowRider® 1 Utama Surfing Experience in Kuala Lumpur

I used it with my 11 and 5 year old daughters. My dad did it too, and it was a fun experience. However, it does not seem to be suitable for use by a 5-year-old child. After riding once and getting swept away by the water, I was so scared that I couldn't ride. please refer to this. Daughter 2 made a reservation through Klook, but I additionally registered on site. “Weekday on-site registration” was cheaper.

The instructor kindly explained things well, so I enjoyed the ride. The time was wrong and I couldn't finish all the turns, but I was able to ride them all in order until the end. It is an hour long, but it is good to keep in mind that the actual ride time is short as groups of 4-5 people take turns little by little.

Easy redemption at the counter, need to sign an electronic indemnity form prior to receiving the entrance band which has a chip that gives access to the changing room/toilet. It's good that the changing room has a hairdryer. To be honest, one hour is not enough. The flow of the water is so loud that we can hardly hear what the instructor is saying, but we had fun overall.

There's a lot to say about this place, but it's not a bad place just for the surfing experience itself. If you go when there aren't many people, you can enjoy it without having to wait, but if there are children in one class, the waiting time can be long and it can get boring.

It was my second surfing experience because my child loved it. This time, the instructor gave a brief explanation and I saw him secretly smoking an electronic cigarette in the middle of the lesson. Improvement is needed.

It's an indoor surfing area, but it's outdoors!! I like that I can watch the kids participating. The timing is well-coordinated, but the scale is not large. And there is a limit on the number of people per time slot, but if there are a lot of people, there isn't much time to ride, which is unfortunate. Our class only had 5 participants, so the 1-hour lesson felt too short.

When you go surfing, there are a lot of people on weekends. I made a reservation through Klook, but if I don't confirm by phone in advance, it won't be confirmed and the time slot will be pushed back. Be sure to call ahead before going (weekdays seem to be okay) and when you go surfing, there are things to write down and register at first. I recommend going about 30 minutes in advance and bring a towel. No towels provided. If you take Grab, get off at 1 Utama Old Wing.

Overall great experience! A very fun activity to try, it's kinda hard to balance and it kinda hurts when you fall but it's still fun. Recommend to go during weekdays with no ppl to have more play time or else have to take turns with other people. Their bathroom is very clean and comfortable and comes with hot water and dryer. They do provide free locker service as well.

Thank you for teaching me kindly and well, so I was able to learn in a fun way even though it was my first time☺️ The changing room was also clean and well-maintained. Next time, I will come back after cutting off 2 hours instead of 1 hour.

Super fun !!!! Wld definitely do this again !!!! The instructor was very good, obvious that flow riding is in his DNA. His instructions were very clear, simple and precise. He didn’t have to say much, just used hand gestures and body language. At the end of the session, he gave us a little demo of what a pro flow rider can do and it was awesome ! In my next lifetime lah haha
