Ethan was a wonderful guide and so well informed, not only on shamanism but also the history and culture of Korea. He emphasised having an open mind so you knew that the tour was a safe space! We were able to make a wish at the top of the mountain which was a lovely calming experience. Even if you are not a spiritual person, this tour will show you a new side to Seoul, you will be able to emerce yourself in nature, see beautiful views, learn about the history and stories of Korea.

Even though we arrived late and missed Ethan's email, he was very understanding and still welcomed us to the experience. The tour was engaging, educational, and gave us a deeper understanding of Korean shamanism and its cultural significance. Along the way, we enjoyed beautiful views and a cool evening breeze, which made the atmosphere even more special. I learned so much, had a great time, and left with a newfound respect for the culture. If you want to experience a side of Korea beyond the usual tourist attractions, don't miss this tour!

This was one of the most unique experiences I had in Seoul. The walking tour at Inwangsan lasted about two hours and the pace was very comfortable. Our guide Ethan made sure everyone could rest during the climb, so it never felt rushed. The hike is beautiful, and higher viewpoints offer a stunning view of the Seoul cityscape. The tour focuses on Korean spirituality and the history of Korean Shamanism. Ethan explained how shamans perform rituals, honor spirits, and how these traditions influence Korean culture today. We passed a shrine and a small shop selling souvenirs and incense. The highlight was a personal shaman reading. The shaman shared insights about my energy and spirit guide, and Ethan translated everything. The experience felt authentic and not staged for tourists. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking Korean culture, spirituality, and unique experiences beyond typical Seoul tours.

Ethan did a phenomenal job pacing the tour and explaining the foundations of Korea and Korean Shamanism. I booked both the tour and the Shaman reading, and I highly recommend both. Ethan is a great storyteller, and by the time you reach the top, it hardly feels like a hike. Before booking, I had already researched Korean Shamanism and had many personal questions about things I had felt and experienced. Seeing the altars and sacred spaces in person gave deeper context, and the reading helped clarify and confirm many things for me. I was nervous about the unknown, but I felt strongly drawn to do it, and it was absolutely worth it. Knowing Korean helped, but it was not necessary since Ethan translated wonderfully and the Shaman also knew some English. This is a niche tour, but a deeply meaningful and eye-opening one. 10/10 recommend. ❤️ PS: At the reading, avoid asking about those who have passed unless truly necessary. It was an incredible experience. As someone interested in shamanism and spirituality, it met all my expectations. Ethan was very thorough; he contacted us in advance to provide all the necessary information, adjusted the schedule so everyone could experience the full tour, and throughout the journey, he gave us a very interesting explanation about the place, Korean history, and shamanistic culture. During the tour, we were able to pray for a wish, and despite it being a mountain, it didn't feel strenuous because he provided the necessary breaks for rest. I definitely highly recommend it and would take the full tour again on my next visit to Korea.

Ethan led us on a great tour of Ingwangsan and told us interesting stories about the history of Korean shamanism. I have trouble with stairs and there were so many in this tour, but he was patient and kind and made the whole tour very pleasant. I highly recommend the reading with the Shaman. She has great energy and has studied a lot. The trip went beyond my expectations. It was one of the best Klook tours I have taken.

Very impressive tour that guide around area that tourist probably never head to on their own - also very authentic and not those setted ground for tourism purpose. Ethan is a vivid, energetic, patient and caring storyteller that has in-depth knowledge towards Korean folklore and Shamanism, who are always willing to share his knowledge and recieve random questions from the group. In addition, it is lucky to have joined the optional Shaman reading experience. Being able to visit a Shaman and having one-to-one session to experience the spiritual culture is one of the most unforgettable part of my Seoul trip. Highly recommended for those who are looking for beyond-typical experience in Seoul.

The tour was nice & promptly - easy to follow. Ethan is our tour guide and he's very attentive to all of the guests, taking frequent breaks along the trails as the stairs quite steep & knowledgeable about the history of Seoul in general & deep stories about shamanism & we got to see the rituals today as well! Definitely once in a lifetime experience to see where the locals go & learn about the history & especially the people! I also did the shaman reading which the shaman is very lovely & Ethan is very patiently explaining to me about my reading which was another experience I've never tried before! 10/10 recommended! Once in a lifetime experience, this is a tour you must go if you love Korean culture. You get to learn some of Korea origin, and the existence of Shamanism. The readings from the master was accurate imo, and I wish I could speak Korean to converse properly with him. Ethan was great in guiding us through the mountain, and explained things well and clear. Great interpretation too. I would definitely participate again and drag my friends along next time.
