Look Back Anime Exhibition—Oshiyama Kiyotaka: The Emotions of Lines

Advertisements and directions were posted throughout the building, so I was able to find my way around without getting lost. The merchandise store is downstairs, and if you take the escalator right in front of it, you'll find the exhibition hall. Just seeing the original drawings and videos on display had the effect of watching the Look Back movie again, but even more deeply. I think it was the first time that my eyes became moist while watching an exhibition (every time I heard Kyomoto shouting "Mitai!" periodically inside the exhibition, my heart swelled...). As someone who can read Japanese, it was an even more fruitful exhibition as I read the director's notes containing thoughts on key scene lines and drawings. I found out later from other reviews that you could pay to listen to an audio guide (there were audio guide signs for each section, so I knew it existed, but I didn't know how to use it), and I regret not listening to it. If you were deeply impressed by Look Back and are planning a trip to Tokyo, I highly recommend you go. Even if you don't speak Japanese, it's an exhibition worth enjoying.

A truly worthwhile exhibition! Every detail of the animation and the visuals were so moving, I almost cried. The merchandise at the venue was very tempting, though many popular items were already sold out since I went on the second to last day.

Ease of booking with Klook: Purchase the day before at the advance purchase price. Very easy! Price: A bit pricey, but more than worth it and highly recommended! Facility: The venue is not that large, but the explanations are detailed and the content is substantial. Experience: Holiday lunchtime, not too crowded. Acceptable level of crowding. The exhibition uses the height of the ceiling to create a sense of density beyond the space. The content is overwhelming! The dedication to hand-drawn lines, the detailed settings, the gaze towards Fujino and Kyomoto, the reverence for the original story, etc., I felt like I was sharing just a little bit of director Oshiyama's inner self. I'm not in the industry, but even so, I felt motivated. It was an exhibition that anyone involved in making things would only benefit from!

The Lookback fan was a faint-worthy, detailed, and delicate exhibition. The OSTs of Lookback in the exhibition hall also helped with immersion.

It was mostly an exhibition related to sketches, which was good for aspiring cartoonists and young talents, but it was more boring than expected. Backpacks were required to be stored in the locker room (free) due to theft risk. It seemed like it would be easy to find since it was right next to the subway station, but we had to walk around a bit before finding it underground. You can enter directly with a QR code, and there's one pamphlet available, so be sure to pick it up.

If you understand Japanese, I highly recommend getting the audio guide for 770 yen. It was great!

cool and unique experience, would recommend to anyone able to visit. I love Fujimoto's works and getting a behind the scenes of the anime/movie "look back" was great, they show you alot of what went into the creation of this movie. Must go for everyone that loved the movie.
