What to expect
Depart from Osaka and embark on a limited journey through Kansai and Kyoto, blending culture and nature. Explore three distinctive destinations in one day, then return to Osaka effortlessly, arriving by private car to save time and maximize enjoyment.
Miyama Thatched Village in Kyoto’s Miyama-cho Kayabuki no Sato: This is the main village of Miyama, boasting 40 thatched-roof houses, making it Japan’s largest cluster of thatched dwellings. It has been designated as an important national traditional building preservation district. It embodies the essence of traditional Japanese “gassho-zukuri” architecture, with layers of thatched roofs resembling a fairy-tale village.
Amanohashidate, one of “Japan’s Three Scenic Views” From the observation deck, the narrow sandbar stretches across the bay like a bridge to heaven. Under the autumn clear sky, the sea shimmers with sparkling waves, and the trees on the sandbar are tinged with light yellow. Every photo taken here is sure to go viral on social media. For a more immersive experience, you can walk along the path to the sandbar and enjoy the sea breeze and the tranquility of nature.
Ine Funaya Ine Funaya, known as “Japan’s Venice” and “the most beautiful seaside village”: Over 230 double-story wooden boathouses (funaya) stretch for 5 kilometers along Ine Bay. The first floor houses fishing boats and opens directly to the bay, while the second floor serves as the residents’ living quarters. At high tide, the houses appear to float on the water. You can stroll along the coastline to see the funaya reflected in the water, take a sightseeing boat for a closer look from the sea, or savor freshly caught seafood at the small shops along the shore, experiencing the slow pace of life in this ancient fishing village.

Reviews
Yesterday, I participated in a one-day tour of Ine Funaya, Amanohashidate, and Miyama. The overall experience was very fulfilling and smooth. For the Amanohashidate portion, we planned to take a boat ride and the Kasamatsu Park cable car. These two facilities and attractions are actually in different directions, so I was a bit worried about managing our time. Fortunately, our tour guide, Abigail, was incredibly enthusiastic, thoughtful, and meticulous. She proactively helped us confirm the routes and timings and paid special attention to our itinerary. Her Chinese, English, and Japanese are all excellent, so communication was absolutely seamless, which put us completely at ease. With her assistance, we successfully completed the boat ride and cable car at Amanohashidate within two hours. The itinerary was compact but not rushed, allowing us to fully enjoy the scenery. The coastal views of Ine Funaya were serene and therapeutic, and the thatched-roof village in Miyama was absolutely beautiful. The traditional houses and natural scenery were relaxing and pleasant, making every stop worth pausing for photos. Overall, this was a well-organized, highly efficient, and enriching one-day tour. Coupled with the guide's thoughtful assistance, the trip was even smoother and more enjoyable. It's definitely worth purchasing and highly recommended!
A very perfect trip. Our guide, Mr. Liu, was very detailed in arranging the time and introducing the attractions. He also used communication software to explain the precautions, meeting place, and time in advance. The Ine boathouse was a fresh and fun experience where we fed seagulls and eagles 🦅 on a boat. The scenery of Amanohashidate is needless to say. The Miyama thatched village is suitable for slowly experiencing the tranquility of life. Highly recommend this itinerary.
The scenery and snow-covered mountains were absolutely beautiful, and there were plenty of things to enjoy. You can enjoy various attractions such as feeding seagulls with shrimp crackers, cable cars, temples, and more. It was worth the money, and if you want to tour Kyoto from Osaka, I think it's convenient and good to use this product. Also, the guide was so kind and spoke Korean, Chinese, and Japanese so well that they explained everything clearly. I recommend visiting Kyoto, which has a different quiet atmosphere and beautiful scenery from Osaka.
Join the tour trip on 24 April with the my elderly mum. The lady guide Qiu Hong(秋紅) is super helpful and patiently assist my mum. Glad to meet her and she very attentive, she remind all of us time and even not forget to send us location to gather . She provide give information on the trip. The day before trip she even suggest us to bring some snacks to eat. Thanks for the good memory.
A must-visit when in Osaka, the boat houses offer a very relaxing experience with seagulls flying alongside the boat. The views from the Amanohashidate cable car are also a must-see. In the afternoon, Miyama's thatched-roof village, with its Japanese pastoral scenery, allows you to forget all your worries. Guide Liu's explanations were very detailed. Highly recommended.
It was quite packed trip because the journey itself took so long. But already very okay to experiencing ine no funaya, amanohashidate and miyama village at one day. Our tour guide name Richard is a good person. I let him know that I’m pregnant and he make sure I’m okay and give me front seat. Thank you
Originally, I was worried about not being able to make the trip due to the heavy snow, but luckily I met Shen-san, a professional and responsible tour leader, and Eguchi-san, the driver. They explained the road conditions in detail, contacted the scenic spot staff, and eased everyone's nervousness along the way. They didn't hesitate to work overtime to ensure that we completed all the itineraries satisfactorily, making our day fulfilling and enjoyable. We were fortunate enough to witness the beautiful scenery. It was a really great trip! I am also very grateful to the hardworking tour leader and driver!
The tour guide meticulously explained each itinerary, added everyone's contact information, and sent messages to remind everyone of the boarding location and meeting time. The only drawback was the heavy snow that closed the road, and the Shirakawa-go light-up event was ultimately canceled, which was a little disappointing. However, overall it was really worth it~
We had a wonderful tour with Abigail to Amanohashidate, Funaya Ine, and Miyama Village. The attractions were absolutely breathtaking and each place was beautiful and memorable. Abigail was kind, helpful, and accommodating throughout the trip. The only downside was the limited time in each location because we wanted to explore more. Overall, it was still a great and enjoyable experience for me and my mom. Highly recommended!
Enjoying every moment of today’s snowfall ❄️🤍 Watching the snow gently fall feels calming and magical, like time slows down just to let me breathe and smile. Moments like this remind me how beautiful simple experiences can be.
