Nagoya Touken World
Nagoya Touken World / Nagoya Touken Museum (Meihaku) is a sword museum in Aichi Prefecture’s city of Nagoya (Sakae, Naka Ward). It can display up to two hundred swords. Visitors can view national treasures, important cultural properties, and important art objects. In addition, about fifty pieces of armor and 150 ukiyo-e are on permanent display, and the museum is also equipped with a space that combines cutting-edge interactive forms of media. Nagoya Touken World / Nagoya Touken Museum (Meihaku) aims to become a new tourist destination in Nagoya where everyone can encounter and enjoy Japanese culture.

What to expect
Our museum exhibits beautiful Japanese swords with intricate craftsmanship, armor worn by samurai, matchlock guns that changed the Sengoku period, and vibrant ukiyo-e prints, showcasing the beauty of Japanese culture and samurai heritage. With one of the largest collections in the country, we display approximately 150 swords, 50 sets of armor, 150 ukiyo-e prints, and 350 matchlock and old Western firearms. The museum also features photo spots where visitors can dress up as samurai warriors, making it an enjoyable place to learn for both children and adults.
