Reviews
The experience was great. The monk described the practices of temple food in Korea for about 30 minutes, and it was all live translated. After that, he demonstrated what we were going to cook, and then it was our turn to cook and eat it. The cooking was done in groups of four. The whole class took about 1h and 30 minutes.
The cooking class is absolutely an incredible experience to take a deep dive into the Korean temple cuisine! The staff was amazing and the dish that we got to prepare and enjoy was delicious. I would do it again!
Discover temple cuisine in a friendly and warm atmosphere. Simple and tasty recipe with seasonal ingredients. A volunteer was present throughout the course to provide translation into English. Remember to bring a towel (not provided) and containers to take home the rest of the preparation that you have not finished.
This class was amazing! Enjoyed working with people from around the world and teaming together to make the dish, I would recommend others to do this as well.
I really enjoyed the cooking class ^^ It was my first time joining a traditional Korean cooking class. There was a translator who helped me with translation. The red bean paste was delicious :) Next time, I would like to try a different recipe. If the cooking class names are listed on the website, it would be great because I could choose the class I want to join.
Very interesting and fun class. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. cooking time is quite rushed so stay focused ^^
The class was very informative and everyone was very kind! ☺️ An enjoyable experience.
Very interesting. Learn about temple fodd, and also can learn about Buddhism teaching.
Love the cooking experience and the taste of the cooked food
Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the activity. The "dishes" on the menu were just juice and a cake. You are in groups of 3 or 4 per workstation, meaning you only cook about a third of the "meal" (because there was almost nothing to do for the juice). So, I only cut a pear and shaped some balls for the cake. This is supposed to be a cooking class, but you don't do anything except watch; you might as well do it at home. For the price, it's excessive, especially given the small portion size at the end.
