Reasonable price. Staff friendly. Well organized. It might be much better if they dont mix the food we cooked with the food cooked by others when serve(we taste our food when we cook several times so it has our saliva). Could use less salt as well. Overall great experience. thanks.

I really liked the teacher that we had from Subak cooking class. The teacher name was Wayan, he was a really knowledgeable person and knew his food or ingredients very well. He calls himself a foodist, I didn't even know there was such a thing lol. but I would believe it because all the questions we asked him he was able to answer it. I liked that he went beyond what this trip was about and it seems like he is very passionate to what he does. he picked us up from the hotel and drove us first to the market. On the way to the market, there was some rice fields and since we asked him about it he actually stopped the car and show us the rice field and explained to us the different type of rice Bali grows and what kind of crops Bali grows. I was actually surprised to hear from him say that up north of Bali, they grow strawberry and one small little plot or a small amount of square foot can feed a lot of people. Also the different month to grow them and harvest them. also, the long process it takes to grow a grain of rice. I was surprised and felt like so much knowledge was giving from only this trip. definitely felt worth it. In the market, the teacher bought some sweets and unknown fruits to share using his own money. he didn't even ask us if we wanted to buy to try or any of the sort. we just asked him what it was and we never seen it or try it before and he was actually kind enough to purchase it for us and teach us how to eat it and ask us if we like it. Felt like he is someone who will be happy to see us know their food and culture and educate us with it. I'm not sure if he is a teacher but for me he is so excuse me if in my comments I keep calling him teacher. For someone who doesn't cook, I quite enjoyed the experience of cooking and learning different type of dishes that Bali has to offer. Throughout the trip in Bali, I saw those 9dishes in the restaurant menu all the time and was like oh that's what we tried to make before in the class. Besides inquiring so much knowledge about food and culture and being inspired by the teacher, one of the other good thing about this trip is that you get to learn to cook and eat your own cooking. So it is also like lunch included in the trip and if there is left over, you can take it home and that can be your dinner too if you are on a budget for the trip. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, if you are traveling to Bali. The education and the food is worth it!!! p.s. if you are a dog lover, the teacher has a really cute little dog that it's very friendly and his family is very friendly and welcoming too!!! feels like I have went to someone else home in Bali...

Wayan was my guide/cooking instructor and he runs the classes with the help of his parents. Pick-up was on time and we drove out to Tampaksiring through some beautiful rice field scenery to a very local un-touristy wet market to take a look at market sellers running their businesses, although Wayan also told us the locals do their market shopping at even earlier hours. We were then driven to Wayan’s home where the class was conducted. It was a hands-on and fun process learning to make my lunch: chopping the vegetables, slicing and grinding the many spices with a mortar and pestle, frying the spice mixtures, making the sates, wrapping the pepes ayam. Doesn’t matter even if it’s the first time you’re stepping into a kitchen because Wayan gives clear and easy-to-follow instructions. Both my other classmate and I had a really full lunch afterwards!

This cooking class is wonderful. I had a great experience in visiting Bali local wet market and cooking Bali local food. Wayan and his family are very friendly.

Had a private afternoon class with Wayan and it was amazing! Pick up was punctual and Wayan still brought us to the local market and rice fields despite us being the only couple the tour. He even bought snacks and shared with us at the local market. The cooking was easy with Wayan’s guidance and you can tell that everything was well prepared before we arrived. His parents were also very friendly and they helped with the preparation. At the end of the class, we had a good feast! We highly recommend this class if you want to experience Balinese cooking!

This activity was really fun and the staff were amazing and so helpful, we got to cook around 8 dishes then we all sat down for dinner and ate it and also had the option of taking some away. It was very traditional place, we went to the market first and then a walk through the rice fields it was excellent, I also have a bit allergy and they catered well for me.
