very easy to purchase and claim. this is hassle-free so i recommend this specially if you're with a group. i think the welcome suica last 6 months the last time i checked my balance it says expiry is July (purchased february)
IC cards are still the best option when traveling within Tokyo. Unlimited passes only work on certain lines. I did the math for all the fares we would be paying for our entire trip with the help of Google, and realized that the Suica card would only cost us each JPY 200 more than the unlimited pass for the Toei line. The card comes preloaded with 2000jpy each and we only had to top it up 3 times after. But it got us to Tokyo Disneyland, Warner Bros. Studios, and Gotokuji Temple. The only hard part in the process is finding the redemption area, which is located in the farthest spot from the arrival hall and there are no signs that points you there. Also the person who entertained me didn't understand that he needed to scan 1 QR code per person. Good thing he had a coworker explain it to him. So it's best to learn a few phrases to help you with this.
Suica IC is essential for any trip to Japan, offering a hassle-free way to pay for rides and shop without needing cash or tickets. Just tap to pay on JR lines, subways, buses, and at various stores and vending machines. I got this at Tokyo Haneda Airport after landing, thanks to Klook. No hassle! This card is a lifesaver.
Welcome Suica is an indispensable piece of equipment for your trip to Japan, it can make your trip more comfortable and convenient! Welcome Suica is an electronic currency used for rides and shopping. With it, you don’t need to queue up in front of the ticket machine to buy a ticket. You can just touch it lightly on the ticket gate to pay the fare; with it, you can take the JR East Line, subway, and bus (Please check the available means of transportation through "Welcome Suica Available Areas"). In addition, Welcome Suica can also be used as electronic currency. With it, you no longer have to worry about change when you buy coffee from a vending machine or in the train, or buy a newspaper from a newsstand.
Hey there! Just wanted to share my experience with the Suica Card I got for my Japan trip. It was super handy! I picked it up right at Haneda Airport after landing, thanks to Klook. No hassle at all. This card was a lifesaver. I used it on trains, buses, and even when I grabbed snacks from the convenience stores. It's accepted pretty much everywhere, which is awesome. So, if you're heading to Japan, I'd say definitely grab a Suica Card. It makes getting around so much easier, and you won't have to worry about carrying a bunch of cash. Plus, reloading it is a piece of cake. Have a great trip! 😄🚆🇯🇵
easy to redeem, easy to use. was able to use twice for the Tokyo monorail and had no trouble tapping in for the jr line. would def recommend for those with a day in Japan or just wanting to explore tokyo
strolling around the city with no hassle. exchange the pass from ninja booth counter at the terminal 3.. booth is easy to find just exit from the arrival gate. it's behind the train ticketing machine. overall great experience with klook. you get 1 day travel pass for free.. super nice..
Good thing Klook offers the Suica card since there is a shortage now in Japan. I was able to claim this by presenting my voucher in the HIS Headquarters in Shinjuku. I was able to go around Tokyo and Kansai region with my Suica card. This is very convenient because you can use this to pay for transportation and food (convenience stores and vending machines). This is also a very good souvenir from yoir trip to Japan.
Am so glad to be able to purchase the card - with 2k¥ loaded already. Claimed at HIS branch across Takashiyama mall in Shinjuku. Just showed the QR code and Suica was given in less than 2 minutes. IC card is a must have in JPN for convenience especially in train stations.
Having a Suica card while traveling in Tokyo will definitely make your trip more convenient. You can use it primarily for transportation purposes (i.e., to pay for subway and bus fares) and each time you do, it makes you feel like one of the locals. You can also use your Suica balance in some restaurants, convenience stores (like 7/11, Lawson, Family Mart), and some attractions also accept it for payment (e.g, when i went to Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden that definitely was such a beautiful park, i used my Suica card to pay for the ¥500 entrance fee for tourists). This card is also valid for 10 years so it is a great option to keep the card for those who want to go back to Japan in the coming years.
