USS Liberty Shipwreck Scuba Dive at Tulamben

Scuba diving experience for 2 pax was incredible. Despite being beginners, the area was easy to navigate and the instructor (we had Ari) was able to guide us through exploring the shipwreck area, which was stunning and full of fish of all colors. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Bali! Shoutout to Wayan as well, who drove us (3 hours one-way) back and forth to our accomodation.

The driver instructors are very nice! The instructor is very good at teaching, no problem for beginners. The underwater world is super beautiful and definitely worth visiting. It costs 650k IDR to rent a camera to take pictures. Personally, I think it is super worth it. The photos will be transferred directly to your mobile phone using a transmission line, which is very fast! The food is okay, but it’s not the point after all.

The water temperature at this dive site is not too cold, so you can just walk down. However, as a beginner, I feel that the instructor is not very professional. I have a cold so it is difficult to balance the ear pressure. In addition, it is easy to dive for the first time. I missed things to pay attention to. The instructor didn't pay too much attention. He mainly focused on taking pictures of interesting things for you, so he didn't have much time to pay attention to education. It's a pity that it's such a long drive. It's actually a great diving spot. If you can It would be perfect if I stayed longer or met a better coach.

Highly recommend this scuba diving spot. The experience was breathtaking! The hotel pickups were smooth. It took us 3 hours to reach Tulumben from Kuta. Our dive coaches were super friendly and guided us throughout. This diving spot is recommended to people who have dived before.

This time I chose to live in Ubud, because it is closer to the center, and I feel that the transportation is more convenient. The coach will pick us up at the hotel at 8am, and we will arrive at 10am without traffic jams. Then the coach will arrange a place for you to sit low, and he will give an explanation. The first dive will swim around the boat quickly, and the second dive will enter the boat. Of course, it is an open position, and there will be no danger. Before falling into the water, I decided to add 500K idr to buy a camera. The coach will help with the video synchronization, so it is worth buying. The people in the restaurant will ask you to order food before you fall into the water, and the food will be delivered as soon as you get into the water. After eating, shake, shake, and fall into the water again, 35 minutes each time, so fast. It takes 2 and a half minutes to arrive first in the traffic jam on the return trip, and it is recommended to have a motion sickness pill.

Highly recommended!! Best HKD 1,000 I've ever spent. The diving coach Maki is very experienced and comforting. He helped me to get under the water, even though it's my first time diving and I don't know how to swim. The first 30 mins he held my hands. The second 30-min round, I was able to move on my own and he took the photos aside me. He was also a very good under-water photographer.

It was so convenient to be given a round-trip ride, and since it had been so long since we had been scuba diving, we were wondering if the method would be long, but the instructor explained the main points in an easy-to-understand way, so it was not difficult and we had a great time safely. I think the diving spot was really great. The shipwreck and the fish were really beautiful. They took great pictures for us, and thanks to them, we made good memories.

The pickup service came from far away and the training was easy to understand, so it went smoothly. I was scared at first, but I gradually started to enjoy it. There was an additional fee for filming, but it was worth it.

The guide was extremely polite and professional. He helped us non swimmers to undertake the activity with confidence.

Very fun tour, though is a long trip to reach diving spot. Instructor explain cleary all instruction how to dive. First diving is looks scary with big wave to jump in, but after that, for second diving it really worth it, you gonna love underwater world. Second diving is have more clear sight, due to water current, so don't give up after first dive 😉 . Don't forget to take motion sickness tablet before diving, if you can not handle dizziness.
