Guilin Li River 4-Star Cruise & Yulong River Bamboo Rafting Day Tour

I absolutely loved this tour! The Li River and the incredible karst mountains around Guilin are breathtakingly beautiful and truly something everyone should see at least once. A special thank you to our guide - she was amazing! I was the only foreign tourist in the group, and she was incredibly attentive throughout the entire trip. She regularly sent me all the important information separately via WeChat, which made everything very easy and comfortable for me. She also made sure I always knew where to go and never got lost. Another lovely touch was that during the trip she kept offering us different local snacks and interesting things to try. It made the experience feel even more welcoming and personal. Everything was very well organized, the scenery was spectacular, and the guide made the experience even better. One of the highlights of my trip to Guilin. Highly recommended!

Guilin Li River Four-Star Cruise + Yulong River Bamboo Raft Day Trip - This itinerary absolutely deserves a five-star rating! I just picked this route on a whim, but it turned out to be an unforgettable part of our trip. The four-star cruise experience was perfect; standing at the bow, feeling the breeze, listening to the melodious music, and watching the moving landscape scroll before my eyes. There were even a few moments when I completely forgot I had kids with me 😂. For children who grew up abroad, this was their first time experiencing the breathtaking beauty of China's landscapes so directly, which was more impactful than me telling them a hundred times how great China is. The itinerary was well-paced but not rushed, covering all the essential sights, and the bamboo raft ride was especially charming. The boatman taught us how to paddle the bamboo raft; it looked easy but was actually quite strenuous. The kids loved trying to catch fish and play in the water from the moving raft. I also want to give a special shout-out to our tour guide, Ah Mei. Her explanations were lively and engaging, and she even sang folk songs for us for free. She was patient, meticulous, and kind throughout the entire trip. Unfortunately, I have other plans and can't write a longer review, but I sincerely want to say: this tour is suitable for families with children, seniors, or even just for yourself.

I cannot recommend this to ordinary Japanese people. It is painful because the guide only speaks Chinese. They also contact you on WeChat in Chinese, which I couldn't understand. All the other passengers seemed to be Chinese. I chose the itinerary myself so I can't complain, but the raft ride in the second half was disappointing. The restaurant we were taken to for lunch was bad and expensive. Since we came all the way near Xingping, we should have had our lunch and break there. When I got off at the central square on the way back, I was surprised to find that the guide had already gotten off somewhere along the way and wasn't there to say goodbye.

I wouldn't really recommend this. Anyone wanting to squeeze everything into a single day due to limited time should think carefully before choosing this. The itinerary includes 1 hour of travel to the cruise pier, a 1-hour cruise, travel for lunch, about 40 minutes on a bamboo raft, and about 40 minutes in Xingping Village. While it covers all the stops, it is essentially a quick-taste tour where most of the time is spent on a bus. If you want a relaxing experience, I recommend having more time to look around at a leisurely pace.
