What to expect
Enjoy 11 + Korean market bites (no meat, fish, egg, dairy, or honey), so vegans and vegetarians dine worry-free.
Groups cap at eight, and every tasting and drink is included.
I built this route for my vegetarian family. Before they arrived I spent weeks in Gwangjang Market checking recipes, chatting with cooks, and mapping stalls already plant-based or happy to tweak their dishes. I’ve refined it ever since, so every stop you visit today is truly vegan.
I handle the ordering and share stories behind each dish and the market itself, so your job is simply to taste and explore.
Note: Gwangjang is a busy working traditional market; cross-contact or cross-contamination may occur. “Not suitable for strict gluten-free or food allergies.”

Reviews
Jungho was such a great guide providing important information about how foods are prepared that may have unknown meal based additions in seemingly vegetarian foods. He is personable and our group had such a great time together. He even worked with me on the level of spice I could handle. I highly recommend this tour if you are vegan or vegetarian or even love meat but want to try veg options. Save room for the yummy donuts at the end!
Our tour guide, Jungho, went above and beyond in the massive Gwangjang Market to find a variety of delicious and authentic Korean street foods suitable for his family's vegetarian diet. Following in his footsteps through the market, you realize how difficult it is to carefully compare ingredients and avoid animal products. This level of dedication is only possible with love for family. I'm so happy I had the chance to be the first Taiwanese participant on this tour. The primary dietary design of this tour is Western-style vegetarian. Those who don't eat pungent roots and herbs (five pungent spices) should inquire in advance.
I loved it! I’m a very awkward person but Jungho was very friendly and informative, I didn’t feel pressured at all and the overall vibes were very welcoming. It’s hard to find vegetarian food options, and it’s extremely difficult to find vegan food options, Jungho gave us plenty of places to choose from. Would definitely recommend to any struggling vegetarians/vegans, or really anyone!
This was such an excellent tour. If you’re a vegetarian or vegan in Korea, you’ll know it can be a bit of a challenge to find authentic korean food. But this tour was a fantastic opportunity to explore the market and enjoy delicious Korean food. We tried a variety of Korean staples like gimbap, bibimbap, and mung bean pancakes (with rice wine for those wanting to try!), and more! I really enjoyed spending the evening with Jungho despite the cold, and I highly recommend this tour to anyone who’s interested in trying authentic Korean cuisine 🥢
we did a vegan food tour with Jungho, and it was one of the best experiences we had in Seoul! he was SO knowledgeable, and taught us a lot about Korean culture. Definitely plan to come hungry. as there is so much delicious food to eat! My daughter’s favorite was the mung bean pancakes. Would HIGHLY recommend!!
When Jungho says to arrive hungry, believe him. We ate and drank to our hearts content and learned so much about Korean food and culture. Special highlights were the kimbap, the rice wine, and the doughnuts at the end (no photos we ate them too fast). A great tour for vegans, vegetarians and worth it for anyone at all.
6 stars!! Amazing tour with amazing food by amazing host Jungho. We walked around the market, talked about Korean food and drinking culture and had lovely bites and drinks. Would totally recommend the tour to anyone.
The tour with Jungho was a blast! We had the best time with him and the group tasting and trying delicious foods and drinks. He even invited us to a special kind of rice wine 🍶We highly recommend the tour and there was more than enough food for everyone. Thanks so much for the fun evening!
This tour exceeded my expectations. Jungho was a great guide. Explaining the history about the market and has found some exceptional places for vegan food. Learning about the food and customs was great too. The food was amazing. I particularly loved the tteokbokki, but it was all great. Would definitely recommend as a must for vegans and vegetarians in Seoul!
Our tour guide Jungho was super nice! He is super informative and has so much knowledge on the market! The tour is definitely worth it as we got to try so much delicious veganised korean meals! Small side note, go for this tour hungry and be ready to EAT a lot! really really fun. The tour guide also went out of his way to get hs non alcoholic drinks since we said we dont drink Alcohol and he also gave us a small food gift to take home with us! thank you so much Jungho! we really enjoyed it!
